I have used proCo excelline cables for several years for our stage box and to connect to a me-500 with no issues. FWIW
2021/09/12 at 12:38 pm #103384The only thing downstream from the mixer is the powered PA speakers EV EKX-15sp with EKX-18 subs and the volume is very low, no where near hitting the limiter on the speakers.
2020/11/07 at 8:50 pm #96182FWIW….I had little success trying to record to USB “thumb drives”, “flash drives etc without many many, errors. I switched to an older Western digital Passport Ultra USB 3 1 terabyte drive I have had for a long time and have recorded multiple gigs of several hours with no issues, error etc. This drive is a conventional 7200 RPM external hard drive. It is not an SSD. I used a format utility to format the drive to FAT32. It has worked perfectly. Good luck!
2020/07/11 at 4:00 pm #93290After some cleanup work in windows 10, deleting old shadow copies, unused drivers etc I have now been able to run daw control driver 1.6 with no problems for many hours at a time. When I uninstall 1.6 and reinstall 1.71, the same problems return. Everything works for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours then the 1.71 driver stops working and has to be manually restarted. If I uninstall 1.71 and reinstall 1.6, everything works fine again. I have repeated this scenario several times with the same results each time. I,m on Pro Tools 2020.5 and Windows 10 latest updates installed. I would like to know if others using the SQ6 with Pro Tools and have been able to run it successfully for long periods using daw driver 1.71 with no HUI communication issues. If they had previous issues and were able to resolve them, I would like to know what they found. This doesn’t seem to be high on the list of priories for A&H and I can operate the SQ6 as a control surface on daw driver 1.6 but the lack of channel names on 1.6 really slows the work flow down. Any suggestions are appreciated
2020/06/09 at 1:17 am #92431The DAW control works perfectly for about 1.5 hours then the “can’t communicate” message pops up and the daw driver disappears and has to be restarted. Once that happens Protools must be restarted to get the control surface to respond again. It seems to be more of an issue when recording/mixing. Just letting Protools sit idle will not cause the :can’t communicate” message to come on. I,m using Protoola 2020.5 and I know Avid is not supporting the HUI format any longer but they have left the legacy Protol in place or so I,m told. The same issue happens with the SQ6 on 3 different computers so it doesn’t appear to be hardware related.
2020/01/28 at 3:00 pm #89134+1 on Heirlooms suggestion. I,m a drummer who owns an SQ6 and use it the same way as your drummer. Play out with a mic’ed acoustic kit and practice/play small venues with a Roland TD30. Heirlooms suggestion works perfectly.

2019/12/09 at 3:36 pm #88162Yes you can. The DX168 runs at 96K so you keep the entire chain in the 96K domain. Be aware that the Me-1 and Me-500 run at 48K so if you want to use these devices you will need to add an SQlink add on card to run the ME1 or ME500 devices. Once you hookup the DX168, that line is now locked in at 96K. It will not “downsample” to 48K for the ME devices.
2019/12/09 at 3:30 pm #88161I just save a scene and all the current settings are saved. I do that every time I make a change to anything and save it as a new scenejust in case my change ends up having “unintended consequences”. Its quick and easy. Just press scene, give the scene a name and hit store and your done
