    So you use all Aux and all groups….

    Hmmmm wild idear: if you have one of the FX sends unused, then send the two channels to that, make it a PEQ and bypass it, then record the return from that FX ?

    Other than that I am out of solutions.

    Nope, 1 track = 1 IP

    A workaround, if you have it available, could be to route both guitars to an unused Group, Unassign the group from your mix and patch the group as that one track on the recording.
    Disclaimer: not tested as I use my Dante to record straight into reaper/Nuendo/Waves Tracks Live. 😉

    1: yes Dante devices work on a network, not just point to point, as that is how the protocol is made.

    2: No problem having 2 SQs (or any other Dante enabled console) connected to the same DT168, just remember as you mention only 1 SQ will be the HeadAmp controller, any other console should “only” be using Trim/Digital gain.
    (I have not tested with 2 consoles to see if the gain “follows” on both, so changes on one can be seen direct on the other)

    Short answer: yes

    It all depends how you patch all the inputs in the I/O tab.

    Must admit I am just too used to always have to unpack a zip file, so for me it is second nature 😉

    One thought:

    You did remember to un-zip the file downloaded, and copied the
    “SQ-xUPG******.bin” file to the root of the USB drive ?
    (not in any of the Directories on the drive)

    You are correct Gerwin.

    When you make an Aux Stereo, it needs/uses 2 output sockets on the console (or Stagebox)

    And yes, on the left you have the Aux’es etc. and on the top the output connectors.

    I think (based on what I have seen and heard other users do) that you would need to connect it:

    SQ5 -> AR2412 -> AB168
    And the AR2412 -> ME1

    A different way could be, if you could get them, to have a Dantecard in each SQ5.
    Then have 1 or 2 (or 3) computers running DVS (Dante Virtual Soundcard) and a tracking program as Waves Tracks Live (yes it is sadly no longer updated, how ever the last version works like a charm)

    That way you can record 32 channels from each console (via direct outs or Tielines) and have bot recorded in the same 64 track recording on each computer.

    That would require the Console to be aware of the concept “Time and Date” (or rather to have a realTimeClock in the Console)

    Sadly that is not the case.

    Just a hunch:

    You are sure the files have no Meta data in them ?
    (like Artist/Band/Genre information etc. )

    Simple answer: no

    The S-Link protocol used between the SQ and AR/AB stageboxes are a point to point protocol, the only thing it has in common with Ethernet is the cables and plugs.
    (then again, a 100Mbit copper-fiber concerter in each end will work, as the protocol uses Layer1 and 2 in the OSI model, where Ethernet TCP/IP etc are Layer 3)

    I tend to have 2-3 mute groups, a scene “go”, at times one to arm and start recording if I am not using the USB-B or Dante for that, 1 tap tempo and usually 1-2 mute for fx sends.

    That is one way to do it (and the cheap way)

    Alternative would be to get the DX Hub, then you can have up to 8 DX168 placed around the stage and just patch the 48 channels needed in the I/O tab 😉

    I think Keith might be better to explain, but my first thought as you have both a GigACE link and a Dante, what primary clock do you have on the console as well as on the Dante card ?
