    Please, no change… regarding this.
There are possible workarounds for offline preparation.

If you put a signal into a room, the room responds as a whole room, not only left and right.

Vintage effects units like the EMT250, the older plate reverbs and early digital reverbs used all mono inputs or summed stereo inputs.

I wouldn’t expect a return signal on one side only, if I send a hard panned signal to a stereo reverb.

As andia pointed out, it works on his M2 Mac Mini.

If the XLR outputs are used for other signals, it would be difficult to use it.

It depends on the model of the desk, but there are only 6 or 12 XLR outputs available.

Can you sort the words to make this understandable for others?

Global direct out source, if you use the direct outs as sends to the ME’s.

This is the dLive forum, we never discuss DJ mixers.

A DJ mixer isn’t the right tool for your task anyway.

It just don’t work like this.
    What else should I say?
Wasn’t the initial no not clear enough?

Maybe you should read the quick start guide first.
The function of the screen encoder is mentioned there.

    Which Dante card?

Do I still need to have my surface (s5000) plugged into the dante network?

Ha? That makes no sense at all.
    More information please…

When I plug in my router to control the surface via ipad, I lose the whole dante network and have to re-address everything (amps, wireless, surface, etc) for the dante network.

That has nothing to do with the desk, it’s your WiFi configuration that not matches to the needs.
You need to rethink your setup!

can I link the SQ7, AR24x12 and AR84 via a network switch and use them separately

No. You need to connect the AR84 to the Expander socket on the AR2412.
You can keep the AR2412 switched on for using the AR84, you don’t need to use it for I/O.

A direct connection to the AR84 or an AB168, giving you more I/O would be possible too.
And the AB168 can connect to the expander port as well.

Or is that something that the DX Hub would do?

The DX hub connects with DX boxes only, not with AR or AB.
