Encoders are soldered direct to the circuit board, but it will be replaceable. I think that excatly that encoder might be easy to replace.

Here is some pictures where you can see (pic 3) that encoder is placed small circuit board next to the touch screen.

I have replace one of those EQ-encoder, as you can see one of those pictures. 😉

@biggsounds Limited to 16 ins, if you use SQ5 local inputs, but adding another SLink card to SQ, you can add more inputs, or use SQ6 or SQ7.

SQ accepts returns also. So, if I have GLD in FOH and SQ in mon, I can send main L & R signal from GLD to SQ.

I have limited time to test every scenario, but this looks very promising for FOH & MON configuration.

I just tested, and yes, direct connection between GLD and SQ is possible! You can route input signals from SQ to S-link and connect cat-cable from SQ:s S-link port to GLD Dsnake port. Working fine! It needs a little bit of ins and outs configuration, but it works. 🙂

If you need more than 16 inputs, then you need another S-link card, where you can connect for example AR2412 stage box.

It is not so complicated to open this desk, but if I remember right, there is some cables which are very tight when you open the chassis. Be careful and good luck. 🙂

I was doing it few times with drummers monitor/wedge. But I did it little bit more complicated way, because I route ME-1s output back to FOH console, so that I can do equalisation and have so called “master control” in that monitor feed. It was actually working very nice. 🙂

I have done that few times. My GLD with dante card is the monitor desk, and we have Yamaha CL3 at FOH desk. In stage we have Yamaha Rio-stagebox, wich have dante port. Connect one cat-cable from Rio stagebox to GLD dante port and configure GLD to use dante channels to channel inputs and configure audio sync to use option card clock. It works flawlessly. 🙂

You must remember that the channel gains is set by the foh-desk and you must use channel trim in GLD.

Once system is gonfigured, its very simple and fast to setup and use. High five to Dante! 🙂

My iPad(4th gen,retina) app works very well. You may try to remove app from iPad and reinstall it. I have problems with earlier versions, and they solved by reinstall apps. Hope this works!

I have problem with iPad app. When I choose demo-mode, app shuts down. Same with One mix app. Not tried with the desk yet. Anyone else have this same problem?

Problem solved. I remove and reinstall GLD remote app, and now it works! I think that some kind of improvement is done about appearance of the app. Now it looks like a little bit clearer… Or maybe I imagine it is better than the older one. 😀

I have used that kind of set once, and I set GLD clock sync via option card and that works great.

Sorry, I borrow this topic a little.

Must ask… I try to buy Dante card from our local dealer. Now I have already been waiting about 7 weeks and still waiting. What is the problem that A&H can’t deliver those cards to dealers?
