DAW Control for Windows already exists I think.
GCumbee, isn’t the QL5 about double the price of a GLD?
Or maybe try user permissions?
This forum is FULL of this same issue in multiple threads
It’s also full of many happy users who never had a problem 🙂
A&H have an article online: https://allen-heath.helpserve.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/1002/201/qu-windows-driver-understanding-and-troubleshooting
I guess you have tried the two latency checker tools listed in the article? Would be interesting to see if they show any abnormal activity when the streaming goes wrong.
“We have bold plans for the group but it is imperative that each company maintains its own independence and style,” said Gordon. “None of these brands needs to trade off each other’s technology or reputation.”
“These are three great companies and all the brands currently in the group have enviable reputations for technology, audio quality, reliability and perhaps, most importantly, customer focus and care. The strategy is to share technology and resource across the group and allow some interconnectivity across the product lines.”

We are not planning to support multiple AR2412 on dSNAKE due to the architecture limitations of the protocol.
I believe dSNAKE has a fixed channel mapping table, basically each dSNAKE channel is allocated to a specific I/O socket.

Some ‘pocket routers’ can be powered by USB so you could use the Qu-Drive port to power them?
Wifi dongles don’t have a reputation for reliability. IMO they might work for your TV or hifi but I wouldn’t rely on them at a gig. The same goes for cheaper products with built-in wifi.

Sends on faders is there. Just double tap on a channel, it’s the equivalent of pressing a ‘Mix’ key on the desk.
A more complete set of features would be nice, but you can control the FX tap tempo and send/return, which is good enough for most live mixing situations (post soundcheck) in my opinion.
Has anyone tried this?

Mark,
That’s called dLive 🙂
I thought the Yamaha only did gain adjustments?
An engineering masterpiece if you ask me 🙂
Not that it adds much unfortunately.
