At this price point, more granularity between frame sizes is welcome in my opinion. It seems more like a digital GL2400-24.
2014/01/04 at 8:05 pm #37096If it were available as FX like in iLive, then it could just be inserted onto the main LR bus (or wherever else you like). I personally wouldn’t deem it necessary, just a nice tool to have available.
I don’t normally compress my LR bus at all, I fix my problems in the channel before they’re summed..
2013/12/16 at 12:48 am #36854Are you certain that the delay times in the FX were off? It could be that your network connection was unreliable perhaps? Check the local FX on the desk itself, too.
2013/12/13 at 3:03 pm #36827I’m not sure I like the idea of a double tap action, especially to do something destructive. I’d just prefer that the knob go through 0dB. There’s a button sequence to reset all the PEQ parameters etc
2013/12/12 at 8:37 pm #36808You have a peculiar and needlessly loud way of showing your dissatisfaction, spreading it over as many threads as possible. We heard you the first time. It’s just really annoying now.
2013/12/12 at 8:04 pm #36802GuitarHero: you forgot this thread.. Why focus on the negatives? 🙂
Official statement from an A&H “product manager” as answer to a pre-sales ticket:
“Right now the big request is USB windows support.2013/12/12 at 6:45 pm #36795Could a mod split this into individual suggestions? (naming is of course already catered for)
2013/12/12 at 6:42 pm #36793Ideally, the system would prompt the user to ask if they wanted to save the changes to the stored library item
I think a store button already comes up with a confirm dialog? I wouldn’t want to automatically assume the user wanted to update the library though.
Another good thing to do would be to have a visual cue (different highlight color, icon, or other) to signify that this item is being used, but has been edited.
For me personally, that seems a bit excessive. I’m not that interested in what was last recalled on a channel, that’s been and gone. I’ll probably change the channel parameters an awful lot once I’ve used the library recall start point.
2013/12/12 at 5:19 pm #36790But if you change any of those settings after recall, the library no longer represents what’s on the channel.
2013/12/11 at 2:10 pm #36762You forgot to prefix a few of your sentences with “I think”, or “It is my opinion that”
Sorry, just a pet hate of mine when people present their opinions as fact, especially when people do it deliberately to add weight to their opinion.
2013/12/10 at 10:42 pm #36744Sorry GCumbee, I was replying to strat, quoting you, not replying to you 🙂
2013/12/10 at 5:07 pm #36736Are you proposing that A&H run an open R&D department? That’s dangerous ground.
Quote “I don’t really think anyone should give up on the product merely because they are not getting their way on these forums. Sure we all are curious and want to know but I think it has been widely stated that they don’t address feature upgrades ahead of time or in public. I really think it sets a dangerous precedence.”
2013/12/09 at 11:37 pm #36707What if the decision making process leading to an answer isn’t as simple as “yes” or “no”?
2013/11/29 at 6:09 pm #36423A pad is there to attenuate the signal before it hits any active circuitry which can saturate and clip the signal. Do you currently have gain structuring problems (due to hot signals) where the preamp gain knob bottoms out? If not, then I don’t see the problem.
2013/11/28 at 9:31 pm #36408For a meaningful pad, that would require a hardware change. Why on earth would you want a software pad?
