    Hi,

That’s right, this operation cannot be done via the USB port on the top or rear.

As yet I can’t give you a cost as this pedal hasn’t be built, but I will be taking the desk over to my techie’s office upon his return from holidays to test this code out on another pre-built custom midi pedal he is building for another customer. If all works correctly he will go ahead with making the one switch unit. He also said that he could possibly make it work wireless or wired. Again, it is all down to cost.

I don’t think there is a one switch foot switch that you can buy off the shelf to perform this task? I will stand to be corrected.

    Hi Brendon,

Never used my QU-16 outdoors, but you can turn up or down the brightness of all the LED’s and touch screen to make viewing better. In dark areas when turned up to max it can be quite dazzling on the eyes.

Sorry I cannot be of more help.

    Thanks

Tried your method Mark, but sadly doesn’t or didn’t work for me.

I think in the long term I am going to get our techie to build us a custom foot switch that can send a dedicated midi string via the ethernet port to mute the FX. This can be done as I have already spoken to A&H technical about this a few weeks ago, they would supply our techie with the dedicated string.

Expensive solution, but far easier, especially as some of our songs start acapello or have dead finishes without FX.

Thanks for that info Martin, completely misunderstood. And I will try your suggestion Mark.

Once again, thanks to you both.

    Hi Mark,

On one of A&H iPad video’s for the QU-16 it mentions something about if you need more resolution on a fader or graphic I assume it say’s to run your finger away from the part you need to be able to see in better detail. By doing this you will zoom in or make bigger etc?

I don’t seem to be able to achieve this, maybe I am interpreting what they’re saying all wrong?

Basically i want to make the mute button for the FX that I have put on a custom strip a bit bigger to make it easier to mute when in the thick of it on stage. Doesn’t matter if I am FOH.

On other manufacturers iPad apps you (admin) can set what other band members can and cannot change for those very reasons. I am sure A&H will implement this feature when they roll out multiple iPad usage.

@Chasingangus – It does state quite clearly in all the specs and write up’s there are regarding the QU-16 that PC/Android is not supported, for the time being at least.

Hopefully we won’t have long to wait.

I too bought the Swan Flightcase, the QU-16 foot print isn’t much bigger when placed in it’s case and is light and easy to transport.

    Well worth the £150.00. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181264483722?var=480295083506&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

    Thanks
