Just an update. Changing the sample rate did allow for us to set the I/O properly, however, it oddly is still suffering from sample rate jitter in the DAW. We have tried Studio One and Logic. For one brief moment we got a clean recording in Logic, but after trying a 3rd DAW and going back to Logic, the jitter returned and we could not get rid of it.

There seems to be some sort of conflict with the sample rate that the DAW sees. Even though the dante virtual soundcard (DVS) is set to 96k when we open up a DAW and select the DVS as the audio device, it keeps reverting the sample rate to 44.1k and we have to manually change it to 96k in the DAW. Even though we change it and it appears to remain as 96k, the recording clearly has a sample rate conflict.

More trial and error for us unless someone on here has a brilliant idea 🙂

Sample rate was my thought too as we had the macbook set to 48k. So that’s our first try tomorrow.

    Thanks

    That is actually quite beautiful.

I knew something had to be going on that I didn’t understand, cause I couldn’t get why I could hit the mix button on the inputs for no reason haha.

    Thanks guys!

I have only used A&H analog consoles…all my digital work has been with Soundcraft and Calrec so I don’t know anything from SQ or iLive etc.

So let me see if I understand.

If I have a reverb send that a vocal channel is sending to. And I press the mix button on the vocal channel…The reverb send fader becomes the send from the vocal channel to that reverb send? Is that correct?

    Thanks

Solved. Didn’t realize the console needed a reboot after changing network settings.

Yeh that all makes sense. t was more just about login. I didn’t realize that upon creating a second or more user accounts they would be available at login.

    Makes sense now

    I see,

It appears i simply need to create more users. I just assumed that it would always ask for admin password regardless of how many other users I had. But I think I see now how it functions.

    Thanks

It’s so new people don’t know how or if things are possible.

I would suggest going to the feature suggestion forum and suggesting this.

    100% agree.

I too made the mistake of “playing” with the GEQ and was very sad to need to manually move each fader back to zero 🙁

The link above (that I see) leads to info about Avantis.

Thanks for the info though. Hopefully android is out soon.

The only way I can see this happening is if you have different ME routing selected on each scene.

For example: If you had Kick, Snare, Tom1, Tom2, Tom3 all going to ME 1-5 respectively on scene 1 and then you set up your groups and layouts etc.
Then if on scene 2 you have Kick going to ME w and Snare to channel 1, it will completely mess with the ME1 and it will likely have to resort to just assigning the buttons in order 1-40.

If I were you I would double check that your scenes all have the ME “outputs” or channels tied to the same inputs.

I am not 100% sure on this, but the I/O assignment shows all the input channels in order. So if on a second scene your input channels are all out of order on the mixer that might be causing the issue also. Either way it’s really the same problem.

I would think that it would follow inputs, but maybe there is a setting for that.

I would go to scene 1 and check your ME channel assignments and make note of them 1-40. Then go to Scene 2 and do the same thing and note any differences and correct them to match Scene 1. Then, go back to Scene 1, setup your ME1s and then go to Scene2 and see if it stays the same.

    Good luck

Could we get some links?. All I see is SQ Mixpad in the play store. Is it the same app?

Yes I suppose that would indeed work. Hopefully this is something they can add. Seems an awful waste of resources to do it that way. But yes that will work, thanks.
