    Hello!

I remember there was one user, that talked about making homemade pedal to mute FX via ethernet cable. Was it made, did I miss it? Or it wasn’t? It would still be a great thing for me to use!:)

I need help! I have problem with buzzing on channel. It’s preamp is on +40db, and jack cable is plugged in. It’s buzzing even though it isn’t plugged into instrument and if I unplug it from channel, it stopes. Something wrong with cable/electricity/doing something wrong?

    Thanks!

Thanks! I also have one small question, it is not related to this topic.
I’ve read that cold can affect mixer’s working, tomorow I’m mixing outside, temperatures will be around 5 degrees Celsius. Is this no problem, or should I be afraid?

Are there any frequencies that more often tend to cause feedback than others? Which frequencies would that be? I noticed that maybe those: 1kHz, 6,3kHz, 1,25kHz, 250 Hz… ? Your experiences?

Hm, I got kinda lost in all those posts. So what’s the easiest way to add FX1 (reverb) to channels you want on monitor mix 7/8, if I want it to be separate from LR mix.

Right now I use Alt out to feed our IEM system, so I hear same amount of FX, as it is going out of speakers. What if someone would decide, he wants more effect on his vocal? How exactly you do this? When you press FX1 button on right side, those faders represent amount of fx send to channels on LR? So what about 7/8?

    Thanks!!

Thanks! Now all I have to do is buy RTA mic 😉

Isn’t a term ‘room tuning’ a bit incorrect? When you are making this whole proccess, you are not actually tuning a room, you are tuning a sound system in that room. Is that correct? So can I for example tune my system at home, and then use my GEQ setting in all types of room. I know system behaves differently in different rooms, but I don’t always have time to make ‘room or system tuning’ proccess. I never done tuning before, but I somehow managed to find some frequencies that are tending to cause feedback (frequencies in middle section, 1kHz, and some highest frequencies). And I almost never have problem with feedback.

    Greetings!

    Hello!

I don’t exactly understand how I would do it. Yes, I would play pink noise through speakers, sound would go through microphone, I would hit PFL, because RTA follows PFL. But than I don’t understand quite clearly how things would work. Which frequencies would you cut/boost on GEQ? You would cut frequencies that appear most (have highest values) on RTA? Am I correct? Which frequencies would you boost, if for example one type of room ‘eats/absorbs’ some frequencies a lot. I also find RTA a bit hard to work with, those frequencies, and red colour change so fast, you must really look carefully to see those frequencies.

    Thanks!

I recorded it with Qu-drive, and played back recording.

Yesterday I recorded multitrack of my band playing one song, because we wanted to hear how it sounds in FOH and make some eq adjustments and so on. I played back multitrack recording, but levels were really high, system was cliping, I had to reduce volume a lot (when playing normal, everything was ok). What do I have to do, to hear as similar sound we play as possible? So I can adjust everything with Ipad app, when walking in FOH.

    Thanks!

There is some mix app for android, but you can only raise/low volumes, and mute channels.

    Hello!

How does stereo recording work on Qu-16? Is there any option I could get my recordings louder? After recording I listen it with headphones on computer, but they are quite silent. Can I raise a volume of recordings on console, or I have to raise it in program on computer?

    Thanks!

I’m still very excited about this footswitch, keep us informed! I’m definitely buying it, when it is possible:)

    Another question:

How do you deal with lack of naming per channel on Qu-16? I know naming is coming with 1.5 version, but I am thinking on naming on surface (for example Behringer X32 has small screen on each channel where you can name/colour/picture channel). Do you use normal tape like on analogue consoles, or something more innovative? I was thinking of small magnets, so you could move them from channel to channel, does that sound like a bad idea? Or even to put plastic paper on the place under faders, so I can write channels with special pen and just delete and rewrite channels?

    What are your experiences:)

    Hello!

What is typicall Q setting (on Lowmids and Highmids) on analogue mixing consoles, where you can’t change Q setting? Is it same, or close to qu-16 default setting?

    Thanks!
