Personally I think A&H do a great job at introducing new features. With Engineering in any form a technical issue can lead to delays in projects. Sometimes technical issues can’t be foreseen or features don’t work as expected, engineering is about developing ideas, sometimes this takes time.

You may find the requests are ready but they are waiting on something else to be completed so one large firmware update is created rather than lots of smaller updates and I’d rather have to wait for a feature thats works as it should than have a half arsed feature right now…

If it was available I would too have gone with an iDR-24/12 in 4U of rack space. For me the 16 just wasn’t quite enough ins and outs especially as there are no stereo / aux returns as in a traditional analogue desk.

This WiFi issue is quite concerning especially as WiFi devices are becoming more popular by the day. Its great using editor wireless but maybe consumer level wireless in live sound where 1 minute of problems feels like 1 hour is not the way to go. This Apple youtube clip makes me want to sell my router and go back to cable and the reason why I’ve held off from purchasing an iPad!

Maybe before you re-order you use “THE SCENE FATTENER ®” which will add all parameters back into scenes, then re-order and then run the slimming feature again…

Hi,

At present l use the custom user strips for control of mixrack and have 4 tabs set up (FoH, Mons, FX, and setup). l would like to be able to set up more tabs and have a monitor mix on each tab (which can be done already) but when a tab is clicked it goes to that page and automatically turns on the mix button for a preselected mix.

i.e.

When FoH tab is clicked the main mix is automatically selected
When Mon1 tab is clicked aux1 mix is automatically selected.

This option should be able to be switched off for tabs like set-up and it certainly shouldn’t be latching.

Hope this makes sense…

Have you managed to connect your Mac to the MixRack using a cable?

Its probably a issue with IP addresses. I use a PC and not familiar with Mac and where the IP settings are.

Q controls when in PEQ graph format. I think the graph format PEQ is great but its annoying when you have to change back to Param format to change the Q value.

Had this with my iDR-32 new out of the box and it had to be returned to A&H.

Slot A1 with a source plugged in went from nothing on the meter to permanently into the red with 1db increase then back to nothing with the next, totally un-controllable.

l know someone who had another make of digital desk and fried the preamp control by accidently applying phantom power to a CD player plugged into the XLR inputs not via a DI box, it also messed the CD up. I try and always use DI boxes on everything thats not a mic source.

Could you pan the stereo channel to the ‘good’ side as you said then route this to a mono group (panned centered) –> LR and once done de-assign the stereo channel from the main LR. No reconfiguring of MixRack hence no loss of audio.

But the extra buttons you suggested would be nice…
