Any progress on this? I am still interested!
2014/06/16 at 8:14 pm #40234Sounds like it may have an issue, indeed. If there is any doubt and you are up against the deadline, I’d just return it.
2014/06/16 at 3:14 pm #40232Keefus,
Assuming you have followed the instructions to configure your Qu and your router…
1. In your wifi settings, make sure your iPad is connecting to the router you have attached to your Qu
2. Only after that step, start up QuPad, and scroll away from “demo” to locate your router. Select that router and hit the “connect” button
3. If it still doesn’t work, shut down QuPad completely (not just switching to another program, but actively shutting QuPad down) and restart it to try again.
4. If these don’t work, you will have to be more specific here to enable us to help you trubleshoot. What router, what configurations have you tried, etc.2014/06/14 at 7:19 pm #40210Simon and George both figured out my issue. Simon had done it a couple of days ago, pointing me to the FX return fader. Which I was saying didn’t do anything.
Well, that’s because as George kindly pointed out to me, I was looking at the wrong layer: I was on the channel layer. Soon as I switched to the right layer, the problem was obvious.
User error, as I suspected. DOH! Many thanks to George and Simon for the help!
2014/06/14 at 1:04 am #40205I pulled that scene off into a thumb drive in case it was corrupt, and I guess I haven’t made a show file yet…just a few scenes. I can put the scene back into the Qu, but could you work with the scene file only? And how would you like me to send it to you?
I’d sure appreciate it!!
2014/06/13 at 8:41 pm #40203I guess I need some support from A&H on this. I have a scene file that I can forward.
2014/06/12 at 3:36 pm #40159Nuts. Well, I couldn’t figure it out, so I erased that scene and started from scratch. Got everything working (could hear both effects).
At some point in editing that scene, I managed to silence BOTH effects this time.
It is probably something obvious that I’m doing. But nothing appears to have changed for the effects channels between pre-edit and post-edit.
The FX returns can be at -infinity (minimum value) and I still hear effects when I have a scene where they are working. In fact, the returns have no effect in either case.
I don’t want to have to make scenes from scratch every time this happens. I either am running onto a bug or just doing something that is tweaking a relatively hidden parameter and causing this. In either case, I would like to know.
2014/06/09 at 10:52 pm #40134I just emailed the scene file…I haven’t got a show file set up. Hopefully this will help.
FX2 works in another scene, though…hmmm…
2014/06/09 at 7:05 pm #40131Firmware is 1.4. Neither FX1 nor FX2 is set to insert, but I don’t remember what the setting actually is…however, they are both set to the same except for corresponding to which send they actually are supposed to use. Both are also set to mix->return.
Delay on one, reverb on the other.
What I can’t figure out is why all the settings seem to be the same between FX1 and FX2 (except that I haven’t made the mistake of setting FX1 to use the FX2 return, for example), but only FX1 is audible.
If there is a global wet/dry command, that might explain it.
I may have to try the global reset, but I’d like to know what I need to fix in this scene…rather than having to start everything from scratch.
2014/06/09 at 2:28 pm #40128Mark,
Sorry, iPad autocorrected. I meant unmuted. (Which it now tries to say must be unmitigated)
Anyway, no, if I pfl the return, it is still dry in the headphone mix.
2014/06/03 at 9:57 pm #40061Just what I was going to suggest. Glad it worked!
2014/06/03 at 2:40 pm #40054This has been suggested so often and for so long, I’m starting to suspect that the developers painted themselves into a corner in terms of their ability to do this at all. I think this is the most often requested feature they have, but it seems they may not have anticipated how much users would want it.
2014/05/23 at 2:28 pm #39885Hijack, but precedented: I thought I was imagining that “cuts off the end on playback” behavior. I hear it too. Seems to be a bug.
To the OP, I only have 6 stereo tracks on that drive, not >34.
2014/05/08 at 6:21 pm #39656Only times I’ve lost power during an event, it went down on the amp racks, too, so…not sure how much help it will be to maintain power at the desk. But I suppose if you have different circuit breakers trip…
2014/04/09 at 2:28 pm #38887I think you mean that adjusting any one hardware control would snap the screen view to the appropriate layer? As an Interaction Designer, I think this idea has legs, but there are some subtleties to it that may be good to think about:
– Would you want the display to “snap back” to the prior view that was selected via the screen? E.g. If you had the GEQ view up, then adjusted the PEQ (so now it shows that view), where would you want the view to land?
– Are there any scenarios you can envision where it would actually be helpful to have “double the real estate” by having soft controls on the screen for one parameter, but be using the hardware independently?
– If the view “stuck” on one channel by moving the hardware control, would you want every channel to have that same view? There are probably more, but I gotta get to work.
