Hi, is it possible to put the main and the sub-aux into 1 dca? You could control both feeds together. Another solution could be 2 matrices one gets signal from the Main bus and one gets signal from whatever you want to send to the subs. Then you can gang the matrices. I tend to not use the sub from aux thing because of the changing crossover point. When subs and mains are measured and delay and phase are correct i think the levels between these feeds should not change. For me the best sounding way to change the level of the subs is a lowshelf in the main bus. If compressing the mainbus i like to hear that in the complete system.

Any news on that issue? I have some sticky faders too. Thr big question is if that is a software or hardware related problem. I will send my console to a&h to fix the faders. That sudden value changes are not very funny.

My Avantis completely froze 5 times in 2 years. Sometimes it freezes for some seconds and comes back to life. I hope that there will be a solution or a Bugfix in the next firmware. At the Moment i try to do most things with the App. It never froze while working with the App.

8. There are some cases where user reported something like a “hanging fader”. When switching between layers a fader does not return to its former value.

Best way to contact a&h is via opening a support ticket. I would say lets create that list on our own if the bugs are not officially anounced. Fingers crossed that some of these things are solved with the next firmware.

1. Space Echo can causes freezes

2. Touching both screens at the same time while working in peq will cause the peq to stop working correct. (Confirmed by a&h)

3. Working very fast with the console can cause laggy screens and in worst cases it causes freezing screens. Audio is not affected. (I try to recreate that but the complete freeze is very rare so it is difficult to find the exact reason)

4. Metering in fx return peq freezes

5. Working in locations without propper grounding will cause the fader touch marker slowly changing the channel.

6. Using the help text bubbles in amm causes the help function to always show the amm help files. (Confirmed by a&h)

7. The known issues mentioned in the release notes.

Hi. Of course does the firmware matter. The actual firmware at the moment is 1.13
Anyway, 1.13 does not solve the freeze-problem. I had the same experience, for 4 times. As long as there is no fix for it i try to work most of the time with an ipad and the director online software. As long as you dont touch the screen the avantis will not freeze. I sent my log to the seller. But A&H did not come up with a solution.
Please write more about your setup so maybe we can find some similarities between our setups. There are more users with this issue.
I also have an issue where i touch bot screens at the same time and After that i cant use the peq onscreen anymore.

4) PEQ drag gets interrupted when another interaction is happening on the other screen. This is especially annoying when working with two persons at the mixer since you can’t drag the PEQ while doing something else.

I have that issue too. When i use the peq on one screen and interact on the other screen. The peq is interupted and i cannot use it anymore.

What exact cat-cable are you using? Cat5,6,7?length of the cable? Is a dx012 also involved? Maybe the Ethercon is not properly mounted? Do you habe a cat-cable tester at Hand?

It is a bit sad that firmware updates are so rare regarding the avantis. 1.11 after 2 years of production. Its not sad because of new fancy features like a rta on peq for example which could make the console better. There still are issues and bugs that needs to be fixed, a laggy gui for example. Sometimes i have to wait 2 seconds until something happens. I even had some complete freezes. Or graphic mistakes, or the scene updater bug….such great screens and no multi-touch functions. Whatever. I hope that things get better for a&h when corona is not that big issue anymore.

Yes, i have that issue too. After a scene recall it is gone. So far it only happens on the left screen.

Maybe try to downgrade to 1.03. I have some freezes and issues with 1.11

Maybe someone from a&h could give a hint if there is a solution for the freezing problem. A new firmware update or whatever.

Ok i downgraded to 1.03. Now all the old bugs are back. I hope that the freezing issue is gone for now and a&h is working on a solution.
