I agree..
BUT I’d say it would be MUCH more practical to being able to play MP3/AAC/aiff too…Sometimes ppl just show up with a crappy mp3.. and you can’t play it back! Frustrating.
Although I understand that with a wav file you’ll have a better sounding file.. sometimes that just don’t happen in the real life.Love my S3000, one of the best desk around..and not only for the money..!! 🙂
Thanks!

2017/02/03 at 12:19 pm #61082like the soundtoys decapitator… 🙂
2017/01/15 at 7:43 pm #60585Even if you have 2 Dante cards installed (one in the mixrack and one in the second surface) ?
2016/11/12 at 12:01 pm #59265I just got mine! An S3000 with a custom made rolled cart/table.
Can’t wait for some more classic emulations fx/comps.
It’s really a high quality piece of gear..
congrats to A&H for pushing it further! 🙂Cheu
2016/11/12 at 1:01 am #59254There’s also channel ganging already where you could decide which parameter to latch to the pair (from fader only to eq, comp, etc etc..
Does not a big problem to me..
Am I missing something?2016/06/29 at 10:57 am #56877If it will be like the new ipad App for the Qu series (1.91), it will be great and really intuitive and fast to work on..
Custom layers are really cool!! 🙂
Thank you A&H!!howdy

2016/06/01 at 9:05 pm #56240Would be great to have a mixrack for the dLive that is more studio oriented: maybe modular so everybody could get the I/O needed without buying (and paying) 32 channels of preamps that are not needed in a studio. Surface is the same, just put the “brain” in an external mixrack with less inputs (or none) and eventually more outputs for external summing (if somebody would like to go that route at least it could).
Like a modular (empty) 4 slot expander with the mix engine built in. So one could also only use the I/O on the surface connected to the smaller (and probably a bit cheaper) mixrack. And could decide if getting 32 channels of analog outs or everything in between, plus the 8 I/O on the surface..
Pretty cool imhoI hope this helps,

2016/05/26 at 11:13 am #56087Hey Scott!
I’m seriously considering the S3000 for my theatre.. it ticks a lot of boxes..would love to have a tape emulation, and a saturator that you could put on some channels, not really for distortion but for that “glueing” effect.. I’m thinking drums, bass, keys..
and hopefully a nice warm vari-mu.. emulation of the Gyraf or Manley would be great..
I didn’t have the time to test it but I believe they did a Culture Vulture emulation..or something like that.howdy

2016/04/29 at 6:48 am #55335I was thinking about it as well..I’d buy it immediately!!
On top of my head you will need few software options/updates like:
– a control room fader and a temporary mono button for it or also a mono control room fader as well.
– transport controls, probably the easiest way is to put them on the soft buttons.
(although the studio version could have the few transport control plus a wheel, like in the avid S6).
– Being able to use the surface only, I mean all the processing is in the stagebox and I don’t need 32 inputs in the studio (or most people won’t need them), but might need more outputs (for an eventual analog summing or analog processing).
So maybe a special studio version stagebox with 8 inputs and 16 or 32 outs..but for most people will suffice the 8×8 I/O present on the surface.. Just needs to be able to put the processing in a box without so many inputs.I hope this helps,

2016/04/19 at 1:49 pm #55155Hello There!
A nice Vari Mu emulation based on a Gyraf or a Manley or a Fairchild would be really great for the 2buss 🙂
Along with the SSL mentioned above..Maybe a tape machine emulation? Am I crazy to ask this? To add some glue to the mix or drums.
Also a nice 1176 emulation would be great since there’s already the LA2A one 😉FX: check out the Eventide DDL500 20db boost feature is unique and pretty sick.. Would be great to have that onboard as well..
Thanks A&H
ciao
