Is there any resolution to this problem??? I have updated from v1.51 to 1.61 on a diffrent win 10 computer and it will still not allow strip assignments Am I th eonly person seeing this?
2018/06/05 at 11:05 pm #71534On the GLD, press the IO button and choose IO Out. Select “Start” and set it to 1 , then touch the End and turn the knob to select 32. (or whatever the highest number used will be) This should populate the output channels with the names that you have assigned them. Now when you have live music coming into the GLD it will be routed to ProTools (or whatever software you are using) To play back, select IO in on the GLD and select start as 1 (use the dropdown box to choose “input” (rather than unassigned). Then select End and dial the knob to 32. When you play from your software, you will see signal on each channel of the GLD.
2017/12/27 at 1:08 pm #67162I don’t know a way to do what you are asking (both on the screen), but you could PFL the channel, adjust the PEQ with the knobs and watch the RTA on the screen.
2017/12/18 at 12:13 pm #66989Hi Ben,
I’m very pleased that A&H released a new firmware. I would like to have more information about upgrades and fixes before installing. the release notes are very thin and I dont see a new instruction manual posted. Where can we get more info ?
2017/08/14 at 2:19 am #64798This is in a stand alone operation. Not connected to the GLD.
2017/05/22 at 10:42 am #63493The first thing we need to clarify is will you also be using the ME-1 monitor system or not. If using the ME-1’s then you don’t need to create any Aux sends. By default the first 40 input strips are sent to the ME-1 monitors for you to select from. (see picture below) you can select up to 16 different sources for the band to monitor that the band can mix for themselves. (more if you use groups, ie you can put all the drums in a group). If you are NOT being provided the ME-1’s then you can easily build 8 aux stereo groups. Just go tot the Setup > Config tab then dial up the number of stereo aux’s you want. A point of clarification… The GLD has a total of twenty output mixes (including Mains) so if you dial up Mains L/R then 8 Stereo Aux’s you have used 18 or your 20 outputs. This is fine if you use DCA’s to control your mix. If you however are old school and like true Sub Groups, they each eat up an output. Hope this helps.

2017/04/11 at 11:12 am #62823First, let me say I am impressed by your determination. Not giving up is an important part of success. Second, I will qualify my comments by saying I have never had a separate monitor board. In the “old days” of analog the task you are trying to accomplished used a special snake that basically functioned as a splitter. allowing you to plug a mic into it to go to the main board and there was also another socket that feed the monitor board.
in the digital world Allen & Heath uses what is called a Dante card (extra add on at $1500 each) in each device. It does not appear that the QU-16 will accept a Dante card (someone correct me if I am wrong) ….
The other option is make your life much more simple and just send monitor mix outputs from the GLD-80. you can run 12 outputs from the AR-24 (may need some for mains and subs) but you could easily go 8 or 10 outputs. That would be my recommendation.

2017/03/12 at 3:01 am #61982PROBLEM RESOLVED ! – It was a problem with the mapping. Not sure how this got messed up, we downloaded the free Dante Controller and got it straightened out. Thanks !
2017/03/06 at 10:00 pm #61876I have a GLD-112 with the 2412, the 168 is connected to it near the stage AND have an 84 in the booth. Works perfectly fine and is supported by A&H.
2017/03/03 at 6:06 pm #61789Hi Scott,
Thanks for the reply. I have mapped the GLD inputs to the Dante card using the I/O section, I’m mot sure what you mean by Dante controller mapping. can you give some additional guidance?2017/02/19 at 12:50 am #61437This is how I have the FX routed to our ME-1

2016/12/03 at 5:04 am #59648Why don’t you just run the live stream from one of the Aux outputs from the board. you could even use an ipad to control that one mix output so that you can have independent control.
