<quote>The direct out trim, post pre amp, follow fader is for the direct multitrack output recording.</quote>

    That’s helpful. Thank you.

I already have 9-10 set up as you describe. So there is no way to boost the level additionally to the USB drive for stereo recording?

The last router we tried was (I think) an ASUS RT-AC52U. Our iPad is a new (2 months ago) Air version.

    Thanks.

I’m aware of Qu-You. Thanks, though. I’m looking for even a stripped down front of house mix option for iPhone. I working in a place where we had an iLive system, and the Tweak app was really handy.

Yeah, that certainly would work well. Don’t have the budget for that, unfortunately. The thing is, I always have my phone with me, so that would still be the most convenient.

Thanks for your reply, Ray. All clocks are not created equal, obviously. Are you happy with the how your system performs using the one in the iLive?

Also, the Dante card is a different animal, isn’t it?

Thanks, Dan. I thought a matrix might be one way of approaching that. I actually just started modifying the default “Set Up” and then kept tweaking as I figured out what I was doing. After tomorrow I’ll be able to load some of those other templates to see how they differ. Thanks again.

I think this is what’s going here. I assumed “Wedge” was just their nomenclature for a non-IEM monitor “send.” It appears that the name of this specific engineer’s wedge/monitor mix is not editable.

Baytonemus, I’m only running editor to my iDR, but ‘strip’ mode for my setup is where you can configure the positions and layers of whatever channel strips you want on your surface (i.e. choosing to put groups and DCAs on the left hand layer 1 etc) – is this what you mean?

I think what I’m really trying to learn is how the terms “channel” and “strip” are being used. Are channels what exist on the mix rack and strips the positions into which they are loaded on the surface?

Sorry, Ray, I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you meant there were downloadable templates on that page that could be loaded onto the iLive. My bad.

And if you want to run iPad app (mixpad) you will need to update to 1.80 and OS 10.5.8

Got it. Still wondering though whether 10.4.x was supported for the iLive Editor at some point.

Do you mean MixPad? Have you used or seen this? The release notes say it isn’t available yet. Also, how much is it going to cost?

Regarding firmware 1.80, is there any reason not to install the firmware update? Ours shipped with 1.71. I did notice that Mac OSX 10.5 is required to run the Editor software. Because of a couple of pieces of software that I still need to run, I have 10.4.11 installed on my MacBook Pro. What was the last version of the Editor that could run under that OS?

I’m not seeing that on the linked page. Is it maybe included in another document that has been renamed?

I think the best iLive tip would be save your mixer config , patch etc..in the first scene “save all” then save that show…use other scenes to change/update only parameters that need to be changed…..

as far as terminology …..scenes =snapshots!

secrets.: got my mon guy to connect to “mixrack only” while I connect to “surface and mixrack” keeps independent paths should one of us go down…….wi fi control is great……

Meaning that your monitor guide is using the iLive Editor via WiFi? You have to patch the surface to the rack with a cable, don’t you?

    Thanks for the other tips!

And yes there is a manual. Think it’s in the Download section. It’s called “iLive Reference Part 2 Firmware”. Hope that helps.

Thanks, CMattE! I only downloaded the Reference Guide prt1 hardware. That should help.
