Great feature request. We have a FOH/MONITOR setup with multiple cards in use over 2 consoles and 2 mixracks. This would make things far simpler in the IO tabs for sure.

    Welcome to the DLive family!

There are some great ideas in here. A lot of them are already suggested in the forums so it would be worth your time to search some of them out and add a comment/like to those posts so that the A&H teams see individual requests getting publicity rather than a long list.

I am all about the MIDI functions getting added in and the RTA on PEQ is something that a lot of us have asked for, for instance.

I agree here. It would be nice to reorder the PEQ, COMP, and INSA/B tabs. Individually would be great, but at least at an inputs & buss level.

    @summit

This could be solved via a few options:
    1. A spill toggle like there is for DCAs
    2. Assign through the routing screen (already can)
    3. Global Option to turn group spills on/off

This would certainly streamline my mixing. I use DCAs for mixing with quick access to spilled inputs and GROUPS for processing and sub mixing to a couple matrices.

I agree this would be a nice add. We’re dealing with some of the same stuff and one of the only thing that kind of broke when we added a second console (and mix rack) for monitors was talkback from FOH to stage and backstage. We’ve done it with two mono busses but it’d be nice even if for just talkback groups to be able to pass down a tie line.

    What is your signal path?

We’ve been using a Waves3 card and Tracks Live for Virtual Soundcheck for over 2 years now. It has been solid and very consistent with returning what we feel like we put into it.

I’m not positive that direct outputs factor into this but I would definitely check that and see where the direct out insert point is in your path. It’s on the ROUTING screen.

We work in this setup all the time too. The signal that hits the compressor is impacted by the fader position on that too. You may need to look at overall gain structure/signal path. Try turning the inputs down a bit and the group fader up. This may not be ideal for live use but at least try it to see if at a higher level the meters and compressor kick in.

It’d be great to see them model some bus compressors like Waves has… I don’t think we’ll see any SSL stuff on an A&H though, haha.

I’d love an RTA in line with the PEQ screens. There is already one in the METERS screen, so the tech is there. Until its overlayed, set up the meters>RTA on your right screen or on an external monitor.

    +1

An additional specific thought would be to bypass an entire card slot or range. For example, we have a Waves3 card in Surface Slot 4, it would be awesome to have a button that would simply bypass all inserts to slot 4. We had our waves host computer crash during a rehearsal a few weeks ago and this would have allowed up to keep rehearsing while the computer rebooted.

(We have worked around this with a scene recall with a filter applied to it, assigned to a key… but that has to be updated every time inputs change.)

    Good suggestions but…

You can choose a different PAFL for the iPad. You have to create that bus and assign it to an output on the mixrack first. Once it’s created you can select it in the Mix Pad settings.

Maybe they could add a “double tap on one output” to talk to just it, while leaving all the others selected as is.

By default I leave mine with all IEM mixes selected and often have to quickly deselect all but one for a quick message and then respect them all again.

Check your inserts too. This has burned us a couple times.

My link got eaten up when I hit submit, but the picture is from the manual. FWIW, I didn’t know the answer to this before you posted here, I just google searched: “LFE amount / NON-LFE Allen & Heath”
