    No, at least not on that channel. You would need to feed wedge output to a local output then back into a desk channel and back out thru a dedicated aux output that you never PFL! adding an extra DA and AD conversion step also.

    I am using an Avantis with a small 6 channel Qlxd shure system. No problems at all but no idea of versions numbers Im afraid! network connections via a switch that’s all it required.

    Yep crossovers would be an excellent and useful feature!

    It’s a current known bug. Workarounds requires saving desired strip arrangement into every scene. So at the moment it’s not actually possible to safe strip arrangements even though they are set as safed.

    We use a Dante card. The Dante card must be set as master to avoid recording glitches.

    I have the same or similar issue but it’s not just a problem at reboot. Some safed items, including but not limited to strip assigns, do not behave as safed in that every scene has to be individually resaved with changes reapplied to each scene before resave. Unfortunately I can’t remember what else was misbehaving and won’t be on the desk again til next weekend. Hopefully this can be fixed asap cos it’s a major issue for anyone using scenes. I would also like to suggest that a scene mode should be allowed that always starts with every parameter in a safe state. In my usage methods I am normally only changing very few parameters from scene to scene. It would be easer to unsafe those parameters for each new scene than to safe all the things I don’t want changed.

    So it looks like we need a new recording product with an ace compatible input with an i/o patch that could be controlled by laptop over an ethernet connection.
    Buying a dante card setup (with its licensing limitations and cost and complexity) is not a runner for doing the odd live recording but having a unit that could leverage the standard dual desk Ace card setup and so have a smaller cost could possibly make some sense?

    further to my question above from the Ace module documentation;

    “Q: Can I record from ACE ?
    A: Not directly; ACE is ‘point to point’ so is used to transport audio from the “mixer” – the iDR MixRack DSP brain, to another MixRack or control surface which could provide analogue, digital or ADAT outputs depending on the type and options fitted.”

    so theoretically the answer looks like yes if the Ice or similar unit was fitted with an Ace compatible input?

    similar question so keeping it in the same thread.

    if we are using 2 gld desks which are both fitted with the ACE i/o cards.
    can one port be connected to the second desk and the other to something like the ICE?

    if not why not?
