that works with my notebook-software, too. and it´s for free!

2010/02/06 at 11:47 am #25147seem´s like!
only digital option “onboard” is the spdif at the surface!
otherwise there´s no aes/ebu card.greetings from hamburg
2010/02/04 at 1:13 pm #25145please take a look at the wireless channels!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels
there can be a intermodulation with wireless adapters that send on the same channel. the same problem with wireless mic´s and the intermodulation between similar frequenzies!
you have to check the area for the channels first! and than choose/prepare the wireless-router/accesspoint to a free channel!

2010/02/03 at 3:42 pm #25139i´m useing a wireless accesspoint for mixing/or redunandt setup with a laptop.
it´s very important that the wireless adapter (router or accesspoint) have a static ip on the input site!
most of them can´t do that. i found one: level one wbr3800, that´s working perfect.
the ip-adresses you need for static ip, you can find it at the manual.hamburg
2010/02/02 at 10:21 am #25132i never had a problem useing a usually computer ups in my studio enviroment. i can´t imagine that there should be a problem with the ilive-system. the 19″ ups´s are much better build than my “home-ups” from trust.

2009/12/29 at 12:58 am #25022my fault…
i confound the dbx160 with the dbx162!2009/12/26 at 12:06 pm #25019i disagree with grahamwhite!
i usually work ith analog board and equipment (midas, bss, drawmer…) and i have to say, that working with ilive is nearly the same feeling!
for me the ilive is a perfect solution in the way to spear place and material at the foh.
my generell question is, for what do you need a DBX160?!
that´s far to much for live!in german we like to say:”perlen für die säue!”
@forrum:
2. i always feed extra buses by aux/group or matrix buses. i never use the factory settings for LCR or LR/Sub, for me it´s unuseful.
3. you have a on/off button at the channel´s for asign grouping, if you press the MIX button at the group!
1. if you want to change the signal-flow of the peripherie, send the signal through a group!
than you can eq,compress and deess at different postion´s!2009/12/12 at 9:25 am #24977that would be suggestion, too!
2009/11/18 at 10:00 am #24901hi mikey,
i´m from germany, so i´ve got no suggestion for a case-producer for you,
but i can tell you my case-solution.i´ve a case for the surface with cablebox at the behind. there i´ve build in a patchbay for the jack in- and outputs to XLR.
the mixrack case is a customised 19″ rack. it has shockmounted rack fittings with 9RU. i build in a powerconditioner that´s provide high powershocks. at the behind of the rack i placed a little WLAN-router, that always connected with the mixrack, so i can use the editorsoftware wireless. the whole mixrack case is covered with an second case, a kind of overall case, i hope you know what i mean.
i can take out the 19″ rack and stand it on top of the overall case, so it´s quite comfortable to handle on stage and it is most safe for the transport in the overall case.2009/11/18 at 9:43 am #24899hi albin,
i´m useing the “laptop with mixrack” option in the editor.
then you can set the mixrack independently from the surface and the editor!
that works fine in the case of foh power is going down, but the mixrack´s still working. the editor starts up with the last settings of the mixrack. if the powers back on foh the surface starts with the last settings i´ve done with the laptop.that works perfect, so why are you useing the “suface with mixrack” option in the editor?
2009/11/18 at 9:36 am #24898why don´t make a “user preset” of your inputchannel and paste that preset at the channel/scenes you want to use. maybe that´s the best way for your problem!
it´s a little bit difficult to realise it with the scenes, but here´s my way:
first off all, you have to recall the “stdsetup” than you store a new preset that calls “mic channels” (for example).
the “mic channels” scene have to be stored edited not “store all”!!!
choose the parameters that should be stored at that scene under “edit” in the scene menu and than “update” the scene…not “store all”than you can recall the “mic channels” scene in every other scene you´ve actually been useing. but carefull, you store two channels, and these both channels should have the same in the scene, where you want to use them!
2009/11/17 at 3:56 pm #24895demand should be not the problem i guess!
chaining for dynamics is more than just an option, it´s a have to be in digital enviroments!2009/11/12 at 4:41 pm #24888hi,
i would store a new scene with just the input faders.
you can filter it in the scene menu under “edit”. there you can select what you want to have stored in the scene. then you have to “update” and not “store all” your scene!the effect is, that the scene just recall the settings you´ve “updated” in the scene, and everything else keeps it leves or value´s.
i´ve written a scene called “FX setup” where i´ve just stored all relevant internal fx value´s incl the mix-bus, fx return levels, and softkey´s. i tried the scene on an other ilive last weekend…works perfect!
greetings from hamburg, timo
