Hi Dave,
This is what we found during development. Some verbs click and some mute.
We were told no clicks and bangs for live. I can understand that during scene change you dont what an annoying hf click, even small.
I also agree on a rock number tweaking a snare predelay to get the space right is really useful.
Please bear with us, we will investigate, click size!
But its not a quick thing.2009/08/19 at 10:01 am #24557The channel delay mute is not the same algorithm as the reverb.
one has one tap, the reverb has a complex network structure. We were originally told to mute for the channel delay changes. Now people want an unmute route. To answer Walters last comment, we put every effort into delay changes and early reflection models to give the customer the best sounding processing and listen to requests such as ‘no clicks and bangs’. Sorry this has caused you trouble.
As i have said, we are investigating this, so we are not just ignoring it. I am just trying to explain it isnt simple.
2009/08/19 at 9:48 am #24556Walter,
No, it has not. It’s a big annoyance and should be fixed ASAP.
please explain – No, it has not ?Are you answering my statement about predelay and early reflections ?
If so i reiterate, OUR reverb has relationships between the early reflection pattern and the user setting for predelay. Change predelay early pattern changes too.
if you insert predelay on a small room without consdiering the full reflection pattern it will no longer sound like a small room.
Also it is the reason why certain verbs sound the way they do.2009/08/19 at 9:40 am #24555Hi Bill
We have had this request in 2 forms.
The ability to phase switch a mix output, say Aux7 or Mix Left.
and the ability to phase switch an individual output socket.
The latter means you could send Main Left to 2 output sockets and they would have individual phase switches. We need to understand what the customer wants on this one. The latter solution is much harder to implement. But we dont want to implement the easier former solution to find it doesnt tick the box for the customer.

2009/08/17 at 2:16 pm #24535love the tweeter thing.
dont forget to send the show and log files into tech support, also what system you have.thanks
robc2009/08/17 at 12:46 pm #24533hi,
good to hear you had a good festival.
some of the list is already on the wish list. The impulse response thing sounds interesting and the pink noise tweeter saver is that the cold or the damp that causes that?can you email tech support your show and event logs and we will investigate the LR issue.
thanks
robc2009/08/13 at 12:49 pm #24512we will log it on the list.
2009/08/13 at 12:48 pm #24511the predelay calculation has some affects on the early reflection patterns. This is what makes some of the models sound the way they do.
So when you change the predelay the reflection model is muted to stop clicks, hence no reverb for a short period. We will assess the click factor apon predelay change, some fx units click when you change reflection model. If we had done it the other way you would be mentioning the clicks !The gated reverb does not have the same reflection model relationship and predelay changes do not click and are silent. Although some gated reverbs do click apon predelay change – maybe you want the annoying click ;>)
other people have mentioned it on the channel delay too. We are investigating this.
2009/08/07 at 12:40 pm #24504cool ideas.
we will put them on the list.
need to see how the de-esser transient behaviour is down at 80Hz.2009/08/04 at 5:25 pm #24499If i understand right, you want sel to auto cancel after a time period.
Some nonitor engineers will find that really scary. They sometimes just want to park on a channel and have instant access, not worry about if it might auto cancel.
Making it a mode may work – but then it gets compex maybe for new users to know whats going on.worth thinking about more though as a mode ?
2009/08/04 at 5:21 pm #24498Good to hear you all enjoy using T series – hippies and youth !
great to see some Aviom cards getting installed too.2009/08/03 at 3:13 pm #24494dont understand ‘wolve’
double-bass LF resonance on a particular note ?2009/07/27 at 5:50 pm #24473Nice to hear you all enjoy the Fx emulations. They are fun but time consumming to do.
On the SMR, there are 4 models. EMT, Hall, Classic-plate and Room. My favorite is EMT. But live maybe the classic plate is more useful tone wise if you get into the expert pages. The Room model was also nice to design, live use is limited. The Flanger was fun to model, there are some distinct differences that set the classic flanging techniques apart. We captured them in the 3 models ambient, vintage & wild. Rewarding results once finished.
GatedVerb is my overall favorite, due to the very accurate model we achieved. InfaBass is cool too on some continuous LF programme – watch your cones!
The iLive ADT is great on vocal sounds without reverb. I have heard it sounding great on a 80’s pop vocal in a fairly small Hall.
2009/07/21 at 12:43 pm #24455PL6 or PL10’s have soft keys that can be programmed to ‘select a mix’.
The PL10 rotaries can be set up too.Hope this helps.
2009/07/20 at 5:56 pm #24450minijack Touchscreen sockets on the back of the T series surfaces???
Its the audio io to the touch screen computer. We thought if we decide to use them for features in the future they’d better be connected !
but no plans yet.
