    Hey Rick,

The pre-amp settings that changed (or think that changed) where they a stereo and a mono channel ? And did you use the ipad app during the show ?

    Hi,

I would like to know too (or how). As far as I understand the documentation it is only possible to write values into the GLD. (midi or TCP), except a custom midi command by softbuttons and/or MIDI transport commands.

if there is a way to read current settings, I would be glad.

I hope that someone from development from A&H responds on this request/question ?

    regards

True. But it is possible to use an Stereo group to make a stereo pair of two inputs. Works fine as long as you only send the output to Main L/R (and you have mixbusses enough). In my default template I have the USB player configured this way so I have both Stereo DSP channels available for my gigs.

The ilive had a dedicated subwoofer bus and the GLD does not. Do you find that using a post fader aux with sends on rotaries is just as good?

Using an Aux for Sub out works like a charm.

You can make your own de-esser in the GLD. Just route your channel(s) which you want to de-ess to a (stereo) group. In this (stereo) group, configure a normal compressor, with the side chain filter set to ON. Set your low freq to approx 6.5kHz. high freq to 12kHz or so. (compressor threshold… what you need ; 3.5:1 ; attack < 1ms ; release +/- 200ms).

Good idea.. I would also like a (simple) console to attach to the GLD to do monitormixing or for Second mix out (radio/broadcast). Eh lets say, an ipadd app but with real faders [:)].

PLEVRIER – Channels 45-46 and 47-48 are in use for me at the moment – for interval music, running off the RCA sockets on the console. This may change though.

Had the same issue. Since MP3 files (background music) are just stereo… I patched them into 42-43 and got rid of channel 43 on the surface after ganging them. For a few show I really need panning on stereo channels. This is the only way to do it for me.

I haven’t looked at recording onto USB at the moment – in my head I want to be creating a matrix mix and outputing to say 47-48… or have I got this completely wrong? I’m just talking off the top of my head here, I am going to be investigating the template show tonight to see how it hangs together.

You have to patch which output you want to record in the I/O screen. By default it is matrix out. Change it to Main L-R (most of the time)

    gain can’t be ganged.

Other solution is to use channel 45-46 and/or 47-48 as they are stereo channels. Just configure them in the pre-amp settings of the channel to the right inputs and put them in the strip you want them to be. This is also great for panning issues. (remember that ganging does everything in absolute way, including panning… very useless for stereo channels)

TIP : Don’t do it thru the I/O screen. that is because the Input channels don’t show that they are patched stereo channels. (is a visual bug)

In Benelux I found a real good price for the Etherline P flex 2170300 (which is in recommended list).

I bought 100 meter for 213,14 Euro. incl. VAT and shipping. I am using a Schill wheel GT310-RM. Works great and is very compact.

The website can be found here:

The good part is that you do not have to have something displayed on the GLD fader strips for it to remain working. Eg. gang channels 1 and 2 and take channel 2 off strip assign. It will still work but you will only have to deal with one fader.

True, but what do I have to do if I would like to change pan during show (which is done a lot during 1 of my shows). Then I have to get back to both channelstrips to change pan to the right way. If pan could be relative, that would be a good solution…
