@Kaith Thank you for being so helpful. You relieved me!
2024/02/27 at 5:29 pm #119819@lee7 Wow surprised that it works like that on your machine. Usually it will reduce 2-3 dB, and not go back.
2024/01/17 at 5:55 am #118491Wow Can’t thank you enough for the detailed clear information. God bless you.
2024/01/16 at 3:54 am #118458@lee7 Yes, thats how I’m also used to set the gain on my other digital mixer. (That it should hit the yellow sometimes). So why did they set the ‘gain assistant’ to lower it that much? Is this mixer different? Is 0 dB the ideal gain level, of this mixer? Meaning, if I set it manually, should I reach the yellow, or not? Thank you for your valuable answer, at least I know my mixer is not defective. (I’m still not happy, that its not as loud, and if I deactivate ‘Gain assistant’ that means that I need to monitor the meter, which is very inconvenient to need to navigate to the screen that has the gain meter. Not so happy ): On the Qsc TM mixer, there is a peak light that is visible on all screens, no need to navigate to find it. So I would suggest ,or they should raise ‘gain assistant’ to the yellow, or they put a peak light, visible on all screens, so its easy to monitor. Does that make sense?
2024/01/15 at 6:07 am #118433@highflyer1953 You’re %100 right, but now that we don’t have groups, at least, we should have an option like this.
2024/01/15 at 1:43 am #118430@salc I also happened not to like the Gain Assistant it seems to be too low. My question is, how would I set the gain manually, there is no peak light, do I just have to make sure that the light doesn’t hit the top of the bars too Frequently? (It’s not so convenient to have to keep on going back to the screen of each channel gain, to watch out from peaking)

2023/12/11 at 12:19 am #117346Wow , that would be an easy solution. I didn’t think it would be that easy:)
2023/12/10 at 4:11 pm #117340Thank you, I have read that and I also thought that this might be my solution, but after Experimenting, I was able to confirm that ‘postfader’ only makes it follow the ‘input’ level to the mains, Which means that I’m required to move individually each channel fader. (Unless there is such a thing of ‘Groups’, but I’m pretty sure, there isn’t.) But thank you for trying to help. God bless you!
2023/12/08 at 7:03 am #117297I’m Not sure if this is the right topic to post about here. I’m using the main outs for the tops and the aux for the sub, Because my speakers dont have a built in crossover, so I Set the EQ to act as a crossover. My problem is, when I want to raise or lower the overall volume, I need to do it 2 times, Once, at the main fader (for the tops) and the second time at the aux fader (for the sub). This is pretty disappointing, I haven’t expected this with the CQ18. Am I missing some Information on how to do it correctly? I read the manual, And played around a bit on the mixer to figure out a way to control Everything with one fader, but haven’t been able. Does anyone have any advice or can Tell me where is the appropriate place to post this question? Would be much appreciated, thank you.
2023/12/08 at 2:36 am #117294@KeithJ A&H Thanks. I’m also trying to set a 24 db/oct crossover. So which filter type is 12 db? There are 3 types of filters on the LF and HF, top, middle and bottom (sorry, I dont know their names), Is the top or the bottom, 12 db?
