Ok, i join the club today 🙁 my GLD80 it was sent back to Italy dealer for SSD change.
Good service about find the issue ( send LOGS to my contact, tell me in a couple of day that the SSD must be replaced), but now I HAVE TO KNOW wich is the main problem:
-are the SSDs a bad quality batch, so the problem is relatively easy to fix, changing supplier/type of component?
-are the problem caused by something else, for example some software bug (i’m just supposing…)?

In this year of using GLD, i always keep it in its case, alwais personally load in and out, so i’m sure that it doesn’t take any bash.
One thing that made me happy about GLD till now was is reliability, i had more time shows for 4 days with the GLD in full processing (46channels, all BUS full) without a issue, but now i’m a bit scared about the future: if the problem is a simple bad component (by the way, Avolites has some similar problem with bas UPS), for me is ok, but if the problem is in another place we need to know.
I refuse to do job with the scare that GLD may crash again…
I will very apreciate if somebody in A&H say something about this common issue.
    Bye

Also on the preamp patch section, when you have to choose a physical input, it would be nice if instead of “input->scroll to Dsnake, dsnake exp, etc”, it give you ” D-snake input”or” d-snake EXP input” or “local EXP” input”. It would be much faster.

The number is associated to the corresponding stagebox, so Dsnare 1-24 is the AR2412, D-snake EXP is the AR84 connected to the AR2412, and so on.
By the way, it depens on how you work, for me for example is better to see the stagebox number couse i use the stageboxes for diffent type of sources ( ar24 for voxals and the 2 Ar84 for instruments).
Maybe it woud be cool to can choose between the two naming mode.

+ 1 to restart the console after a reconfiguration. Remember that if you recall a different show you are actually reconfiguring the consolle!!!
Also, use the 1.4 firmware for a 3h musical last night, with 40 in and 20 out + an USB drive to record the show, without any problem.

I personally choose the M-Madi + RME Madiface USB, just because i can use the RME with other brands thats use MADI protocol.
I use Reaper on Win7 without any trouble.
Others thats use M-Dante hasn’t got any trouble, so one solution or another works ok.

If nothing should go to the main, why not just turn off the LR bus?

I personally chose the MADI card option + RME MADIface USB: i cost a little bit more than the Dante’s solution (about 1800 vesur 1400), but i think is more versatile, because i can use the MADIface with other MADI systems.
I made a couple of shows, 44 track each, 3h of recording via Reaper + fujitsu laptop with WIN7 without any issues.

An A&H tech told me that is a good practice when re-configure the mixer setup (number of Aux, MTX, etc) made a reboot of the system (simply turn off and then turn on), to avoid problem.
Also i know that on other English consoles is a good practice too to clean the logs to “clean” the CPU memory.
There was some issues with USB in the previous firmware release, as i know.
    bye.

maybe lighter colours so you can assign it to less important channel and use the others for the most important ones.

+ 1 for ducking effect ( but i think it is relative to the gate)
+ 1 for creative use (using the kick to make the whole mix “pulse”).

Installed, work correctly via Wi-fi and LAN.
It will be very cool if a “mirror” option will be avaiable, for example, if i open an EQ windows on GLD, it opens also on laptop.
    bye.
