@ryan Found a hex editor with a 30 day trial, Synanalyze It. The file is 82KB, but only about half of it has real data with my current config. It looks like about 100 bytes per channel. The weird thing is some of the channel names are corrupted, i.e. missing characters. Drums and Click come through OK, bit Keys is corrupted and tr I don’t recall. Will dig further with some known channel settings.

2018/06/27 at 7:33 pm #72182@ryan I work in Sunnyvale. Where are you? My church owns the ME-1 system, so not sure if I could loan one out, but could make some changes and dump the config files. How do you propose to monitor the protocol? Over the RJ45 connection? It is not actually Ethernet, right? Not something you can just plug into a computer. The USB port is a host port intended only for a memory device. I have a config file, but can’t decipher it yet. It appears to be in binary, i.e. very few recognizable ASCII characters when I look at it in a text editor. But some (only some) of my channel names are there. Know a god hex editor on a mac? I could email you some files.
@ Tyler Martin – hey thanks for the GUI code. Unfortunately, I’m Java illiterate. If we can figure out the config file, maybe I’ll try to crack Java next. I’m more of a VB guy.

2018/06/18 at 3:25 pm #71921I have put in report to Amazon Developer Support using ‘Contact Us’ on my Amazon Developer account. I added my Amazon contact info, so they can tell I am an employee. Not sure if you have reported the lack of crash reports. Let me know, as I’m sure they’ll ask. I’ll see if I get any response through normal channels. I’ll find an escalation path, if I don’t get a response.
2018/06/18 at 2:54 pm #71919Hi David, The FW version of my QU32 is 1.90 4537. I see there is an upgrade to 1.93 available. The odd thing is that the app quit working on my Android tablet, when nothing had changed on the mixer or the tablet. Unless the app updates automatically. I did have someone attach a new iPhone to the mixer. Could that disable your app? Should I try updating the QU32? I’m nervous about other unexpected changes to the Qu.

2018/06/16 at 3:53 pm #71878Hi David, I’ll try to check tomorrow when I’m there. Can you give me some more detail about the crash reports? Are you just talking about the system log? I work with the HW team for Amazon. I only know a couple of the SW guys, but might be able to track down the right ones to help. I’m sure the system logs are accessible. If they have locked those out on production devices I can maybe get a preproduction device and check it.
BTW is there a way to private message each other on this site?
2018/06/15 at 10:34 pm #71869Android App quit working on Amazon tablets: I’ve downloaded the latest app (as of 5/28/18) from the Amazon app store. The app downloads fine and connects to my wifi router connected to my Qu32. When I run the app and hit connect, it says an error has occurred. I’ve tried this on 3 different Amazon tablets, 2015, 2016 and 2017 versions. Anyone using an Amazon tablet for this app? It worked 6 months ago. Also have have had people connect iPhones to it with the standard A&H app, which works fine.
2017/11/02 at 6:43 am #66049I think I may have figured it out, but need to test with the mixer. When the end -> fader button is not pushed, you are in LR mode. Also found individual fx sends by selecting this and selecting fx bus below it.
2017/11/02 at 6:20 am #66048@davidgiga. I’m trying to use the qu version of mixing station, but it seems there is no selection for the main mix (LR). Is this one of the functions you can’t implement? This kind of makes it unusable as FoH control. Also, the fx sends for each channel seem to be missing. Hope you can fix it somehow. Is this also the case for the pro version? I may have sideload the Google play version onto my Amazon tablet, but I see you have an Amazon version now. Will that solve my issue?
2017/09/14 at 3:37 pm #65259The approach I would take is to change 1 tiny thing at a time and do a compare of the binary files. Probably start with one of my channel labels that doesn’t show up in ASCII. But who has time for that?
I doubt it has an msp430 in it. There is too much audio processing going on. It is likely an Arm core with a bunch of external DRam.
Too bad Allen& Heath won’t respond to this.
Send me an executable of your GUI. I’d love to see which parameters you are trying to store. If it is just labels, it may not be too hard to decipher.

I looked at it in a hex viewer that has an ASCII decode off to the side. There were only a few characters that were recognizable from my setup, but most looked stuff from the standard setup. Maybe 6 out of 16 of my channel names showed up and some seem corrupted. For example, I have a channel name of sKeys, which appears, but another name I have is Lead, but it appears as @b3ead. Of course, the hard part is deciphering the binary data and how it stores things like volume levels, groupings, EQ, etc.

2017/09/12 at 9:47 pm #65232Another ping for offline ME-1 editor, since this thread has been dormant for > 2 years. If you can’t do the editor, can you publish the file format for importing/exporting, so I can write my own editor?
