Some things that pop in my mind:

    – More buses, not necessarily with a physical output. I do not have sufficient buses for groups due to the large amount of stereo aux I need for IEM.
    – “Real” stereo input channels instead of ganging. With ganging I cannot perform simple panning of a keyboard unless I route the left and right input channels to a stereo group. Also the gain of the left and right input channels must be linkable.
    – Playlist and a shuffle function for the audio player. A simple music library function would also be welcome.
    – Headphone socket at the bottom right corner
    – More intuitive menu structure. For example: audio player is now in setup.

In the IO screen you should be able to assign the MAIN output to the Surface and dSnake at the corresponding tabs.

To send the channels to a given output you have two options:
    1) press the MIX button of the output channel and adjust the fader of the input channel to the desired level
    – in this mode the faders of all input channels will reflect how much is assigned to the selected output

    2) press the MIX button of the input channel and adjust the fader of the output channel to the desired level
    – in this mode the faders of all output channels will reflect how much of the selected input is routed to all output channels

If you use the L C R type of Main (in Setup->Config->Mixer Config), The left, center and right outputs are always selected at the same time. The MIX LED of both outputs will be both turn on when pressing MIX on either the Main or C output channel. You can use the pan of the input channel to assign it to a output (or somewhere in between L, C or R).
If you want separate control of your center speaker, you may want to use the LR + M type of Main. In this mode, the M output can have a completely different mix.

Feel free to upload the scene (by saving to USB) here such that we could take a look.

I have been experimenting with playing back the recorded tracks on the GLD. Main purpose is to crosscheck if the recording is okay by creating a simple mix. This is what I do:
    – On my recording PC, I have 32 inputs and 32 outputs Dante. All are one-to-one mapped to the GLD Dante transmitter and receivers
    – I have 2 scenes on the GLD:
    1) scene that contains the normal mapping from dSnake inputs to the GLD input channels. This is used while recording. The scene filter blocks all except the preamp and patchbay.
    2) scene that contains the mapping where the Dante input is used for the GLD input channels. This is used for playback. The scene filter blocks all except the preamp and patchbay.
    – By using the 2 scenes I can use the same channels for both recording and playback. Effects, EQ will be preserved while playing back.

How about routing the RCA inputs to a mono group first? It will get summed in the group.

Thanks Chris, I didn’t spot that topic. Nice explanation and I will definitely give it a try.
