DFT Thank you for your in depth tutorial!!!!!

I do get effects on the monitors… I just have one snag however.
After setting up the 1st Mix1/Voc1 with a bit of reverb, I muted Mix1_Master so that I could setup and listen to the Mix2/Voc2 and do the same. (See board complete setup below)

All is good however this is where the snag came in…

I Muted the Mix2/Voc2 Master and WHAT? I could hear just the processed Reverb effect of Voc2 IN Mix1… Not the voice signal, just the process signal.
I then Muted Mix1/Voc1 Master and again WHAT? I could hear just the processed Reverb effect of Voc1 in Mix2… Not the voice signal, just the processed signal.

This board is so clean it just bugs me that the feedback loop or whatever is adding noise to a live show when there is so much going on. Stuff like this accumulates and suddenly things are feeding back and muddied.

I know I’m late to the party and someone new to the technology, however can we use MIDI over Ethernet for a windows environment or not?

I have a simple setup for stage…

iPad using Onsong for…(Lyrics, Changing Patches on Boss RC-300, Starting Backing tracks on Windows laptop with Ableton Live, and Changing Patches on Line 6 Helix for my guitar(s).

Laptop using Ableton Live for… (Playing through USB multi-track audio to the QU-16.

That being said I would like to

1) Send simple midi commands from Laptop(Ableton) to the QU-16 to mute, unmute & maybe adjust volume.

2) Send Midi to another a TC-Helecon VoiceLive Rack Harmonizer in which I wound select a patch, and even control key’s and such for harmony’s.

Be Gentle… New guy to the tech….

I’d like to spend more time playing than configuring.

A few questions please…

I have the QU-16 Chrome Edition…

I just want to buy storage something that works…

1. There is mention of the Scandisk Extreme CFast Reader. I am to understand this works as expected, and all you need to do is buy the media? How many min/hours would teh 128GB be able to contain? I’m sure having multiples of the media would make this a pretty good solution.

2. As far as flash drives are concerned… Any of the ones tested by A&H should work fine?

Why the heck are there so many problems with these SSD & USB drives? I think Allen & Heath should do a better job in spec’ing the hardware used, especially since the functionality and the usability of this port is relaying upon 3rd party manufacturers and products. Either A&H needs to offer their own product solution or get a better product manager to get it right.
