Yes I’d love a De-Esser aswell and/or a multiband compressor. I would find this extremely useful and a lot of the competition have this feature.

I bought mine from Absolute Music (UK) but it was a special order item. Can’t quite remember the price but have a vague memory it was around £99? It’s definitely worth getting as it really is well made with excellent protection for the QU-PAC!

Yes the Spectrograph was already in v1.8 but it’s not on qu-pad yet. I expect it will only be a matter of time.

Meters and RTA are in the home page then select Meters on the left hand tab. No Spectrograph though it appears.

The app looks like it pretty much has all the parameter controls from the mixer implemented. The only thing I can’t see is the Spectrograph? I’m presuming that it will be added in a future update as the QU-SB doesn’t have a screen and the QU-PAC is more likely to be controlled by the QU-PAD app!?

QU-Pad keeps getting better and better! Great to see the QU-Drive controls being added and assignment of soft keys!
I’m guessing the Spectrograph will be added in a future update as the QU-SB doesn’t have a screen and the QU-PAC would regularly be controlled from the QU-PAD app. I would still love to see customisable colours for each channel but have to say the QU-PAD app is fantastic!

Sound On Sound did an interview with A&H regarding their new QU-SB and there was some mention of some of the new features in the 1.9 QU-PAD app. There will be soft key assignment, midi faders and QU-Drive control and more in depth settings for scenes. I’m hoping we will also see the Spectropgraph on QU-PAD?
As the QU-SB has no physical controls on it I would expect the QU-PAD app to eventually have control of every feature of the QU series!?

Would the QU-Drive USB port be able to power a USB router?

Would something like this work? :-

    https://www.netstoredirect.com/netgear-network-cards-adapters/13082-netgear-n900-0606449081626.html

I tried a D-Link DIR 510L rechargable mini router and this wouldn’t work with the QU-PAC.

The router needs LAN to work with the QU-PAC which the DIR 510L doesn’t have.

I’m using a QU-PAC which I love and by the standards only a few years ago is a very small and compact mixer given the sheer power and amount of features it has. However, for some gigs I only need between 2-6 channels plus 2-4 monitor mixes. The QU-PAC is complete overkill for this and even their upcoming QU-SB. I have a ZED 10fx which I use for really small events but do miss having the features a digital desk offers.
I’d love to see something along the lines of a hybrid QU-PAC/QSC Touchmix8 but have a built in router or WIFI dongle option like the QSC! It would be great to have the touchscreen UI of the QU-PAC but with half the channels. I understand Allen & Heaths reasons for not wanting to put routers inside their QU series due to optimal positioning etc but there is a market where this wouldn’t be an issue. I do a lot of small acoustic gigs (vocal, piano, guitar) where I’m only using between 2-6 channels. The venues are mainly higher end hotels where we would be performing during meals so having a FOH engineer would not really be appropriate. I would like to be able to use the iPad for sound checks with the added features of a digital desk before guests arrive and then have it onstage during sets. The mixer would be on the floor next to me so the built in router positioning won’t be crucial for these gigs. I don’t really want to be bringing an external router to these gigs so I’d love something with a built in router or a wifi dongle like the QSC Touchmix. Even having a wifi dongle for the QU-PAC would help!
I’ve tried the Behringer X-Air 12 but simply preferred the sound of both the QU-PAC and ZED 10fx.

Is there a generic product that can be bought for the QU-PAC to do this.

I’m not sure if this is possible as I would expect the connection port needs to power this dongle? If it is I would absolutely love to have this for my QU-PAC. On quite a few of the gigs I use this the QU-PAC for small acoustic gigs and having a wifi router + network lead and mains adapter looks a little clumsy and untidy. If it is at all possible to have something that plugs straight into the mixer then brilliant!! Yes please!!

I’ve used the QU16 in the studio and really loved it. My only wish was there was midi i/o and maybe either spdif or adat i/o.

Great to see how the QU-PAD app is getting better and better! Hoping there will be a little more development for QU-YOU? Would still love to have

1/ Customisable colours for individual channels and wheels
2/ To be able to add up to two more wheels or remove any wheels you’re not using (solo/duo acoustic gigs)
3/ Be able to rename the ‘Me’ label on that wheel

Well Allen & Heath have certainly been busy with the latest QU-PAD update yet again and it just keeps on getting better and better! Channel linking, signal generator and talkback have both been added now which makes me even happier!
One feature that was released in the latest v1.8 update is the Spectrograph which could be very useful. However, I was very surprised to see this wasn’t included in the QU-PAD app!? I’m now using the QU-PAC mixer which is always set up onstage so it would be more important to have this in the QU-PAD app!?
The QU-PAD app is now so controllable and well laid out but it would be great if we could have :-

    1/ Spectrograph screen
    2/ QU-Drive controls
3/To be able to draw a rough GEQ curve by sliding finger across the bands
4/ Soft Keys to be assignable from QU-PAD
    5/ Individual channel colour customisation

These features would make the QU-PAD app feel complete for my purposes but it’s already come such a long way since its first release!

    Thankyou A&H
