Having the button the desk work is a much better option, else you have to use the switch on the MIC +the talkback button to get the talkback to all the feeds you are using.
Thus the subject – feature request…

Did not know this — that is a REALLY cool feature — I will be using this a LOT.

2013/04/10 at 7:04 pm #33685Yes, you can assign a channel to any number of DCA’s

2013/03/12 at 2:33 pm #33423There are many options on PoE switches. Issue is finding high Power rating.
This one will run 8 MEs on PoE — ZyXEL ES1100-16P (15W per port)
Then if you going to be touring — antaira makes hardened PoE switches. LNP-800AGH can do 30W per port and is built like a tank… for example.
Cisco Refurbished PoE switches have enough PoE power to run more than 8, just google them / check power ratings
As I said, lots of options.

2013/03/11 at 7:34 pm #33414Yes, I have 8 ME’s I’m not using the ME-U, not needed for GLD, so bought a rack mount carrier grade PoE switch with 15W per port.
Still working out some config issues… not had enough time yet.
I got the ME’s from Alan at https://www.waveproaudio.com

2013/03/08 at 6:44 pm #33386I’m running Dante with GLD for recording etc.
I’m running a 1G PoE network without the ME-U for ME’s — just bought a carrier grade 1G PoE switch. This way I get all the channel info from the desk to the ME’s
and then I’ll setup another network via wireless router for iPad app in future.

2013/02/28 at 9:53 pm #33263ACE is more the iLive setup, Go Dante, more options given you can route the protocol.

2013/02/27 at 4:00 pm #33251The GLD can’t control the mixrack, need a computer or the T112 to do that.
2013/02/08 at 6:15 pm #33055Why not patch Direct out to sockets also?
Not in front of desk, but thinks it might be possible to get the direct out to a socket and to 64ch io out bus.

2013/02/08 at 6:12 pm #33054Looks like a nice update. Will do it after our blizzard passes by here…
One thing I was hoping for was being able to run two sets of MIDI on select and un-select on the soft keys + MIDI commands for re patching IO from stage to Dante and visa versa.
please keep this on the feature request list..
thx, for the update.
Carl.2013/01/20 at 12:01 am #32744You can’t route through a DCA, it is not a bus.
You assign Channels to the DCA, select the DCA, click processing, and then routing, add the channels you want. You can also do it starting with the channel.
Note that a channel can be assigned to more than one DCA.
enjoy
