For some reason my last response to you both isn’t showing on this thread.
I have done some serious testing today and believe I may have found the issue.
Router, usb cables (type a and c, official and cheaper alternatives) all tested and exhibited the same problem when the iPad Air is plugged into a charger.
Try this to verify though if you could.
Use an iPad out of its case so you hold the pad with its rear/bare (oooh err) chassis to your left/right hand and plug the unit into a charger while connected to a Qu. – Everything should operate as expected.
If I use an iPad case that insulates/separates my left hand skin contact from the iPad chassis say and propped the cased I pad up so only my fingers touch the screen while the unit is on charge, this seems to be when the problems occurs.
Hand capacitance grounding issue, plus I have dry fingers.
This seems to manifest more on older iPads though ie my Air2, the 6th gen does suffer sometimes but nowhere near as much as when using the air2.
Would be interested if you get the same results though?
Cheers

2022/11/22 at 9:36 am #110100Help! So, same issue with this weekend events.
I’ll try to upload a video (or a link too) of this issue but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime – fire em over as it becomes a regular event that I need to charge the iPad prior to the main act kicking off.
Cheers,

2021/11/05 at 9:56 pm #104337I find that using QU-Pad app with iPad is pretty stable in general until it lags when I get out of the router range however, I have noticed that ‘touch’ becomes erratic when the iPad device is charging/plugged in at the same time the QU-Pad app is being used. (When connected to a qu mixer)
More specifically, with QuPad running and the iPad plugged in – all touch gestures slow down/become laggy and it seems like the iPad/Qu-Pad thinks my touch inputs are ‘double-taps’ which results in the copy/paste/reset dialogue appearing in Qu-Pad.
With the iPad not connected to a charger everything runs smoothly.
Is this something you also see (with reference to the OP?)
I’ve also ruled out any iPad accessibility settings

2018/07/26 at 2:35 pm #72942Ooooh, good to know.
Slightly related – Do you chaps concur that Cat5e STP is the minimum recommendation for dSnake (Qu-SB) – and would anything greater than cat5e, be a waste for such short runs?
I’m looking for some shortish (less than 30m) runs so I can use an AB168 in a throw down scenario but not quite 100% on what to go for cable wise?

2017/03/02 at 12:46 pm #61729Me bad – I did actually mean Qu-pad in my original post and not Qu-Control. (different apps available, I got confused – as I say, still very new to this)
My original question still stands though for when using Qu-Pad.
