What I do is load up an ADT into a FX RACK, set all the parameters to a minimum and route the RACK FX OUTs to liveprofessor over dante as an FX SEND to an external FX like a Reverb (UAD480, ECHOBOY, etc.).

Works well and gives me back my heavily needed Buses for Monitoring and IEM.

Wouldn‘t we have to call that kind of inputs/outputs for them to have panning dual-mono and not stereo?

I have seen the input resistors of other allen&heath stageboxes (AR2412) bocoming high resistive (from 22ohms to several kohms) after phantompower accidents. maybe there is something similar going on here. this would be an easy fix for technicians.

I’m very curious what your measurements reveal. I have a similar setup, I use a RME Digiface Dante as Interface. My Measurements are

Roundtrip without Plugins @128 – 4,209ms

Roundtrip without Plugins @64 – 2,875ms

What interests me more is what has happened and how the usb file-system ca be so fragile that a filetransfer could kill the whole file-system?!

i don’t really know how he transferred it but i think it was a drag and drop. the name of the showfolder was not standard. i already deleted the entries, but it didnt help.

to really use dante for plugininserts with acceptable roundtrip latency you will need a hardware dante device on your computer side like the rme digiface dante or a dante pcie card from focusrite or yamaha.
