My USB recording’s seem very quite or have a low recorded level compared to the level of send on the fader to the USB. I have been using the stereo matrix to send the signal to the USB for recording, the meters read a good signal level but the actual recorded level is much lower; and another problem is I cannot fast-forward the recorded track or select a point to play from ‘mid track’. Any ideas?

The flash drive will record the digital level of the signal you send it. If you want to play back from it and have the audio come out at the same level it went in you will have to put the fader to unity so that you are not making it quieter at the fader.

Read the section titled “Enter the digital converter”.
