Okay. I am using my SQ6 as a live recording monitor board and I use the network RJ45 to connect a remote laptop on a second network to the panel. +In my cast, the vulnerable and fragile Ethernet connect is just hanging out the back of the board while the Dante card and the completely un-used Slink connectors are Ethercon. Sure, I could build a little box or plate with the proper connector on it, but I think not having a third Ethercon was an oversight. Otherwise, love the panel.

As someone who is pretty new to digital panels and who don’t use them every day, I see layer and mix toggles as a super-trap. I would be that guy happily mixing FOH for minutes and wondering the whole time where the guitar went. 🙂

Lots of good ideas here; I like the different color touch-screen idea a lot, but even a flashing mix or level button when not on the MainLR bus would help. But definitely something to let newbies like me know that we aren’t on the MainLR bus.

Now a +1 for a foot-switch setting for CH to All Mix. In a hurry, two hands on faders would be, well, twice as fast as one hand. Looked through all the foot-switch possibilities and that would be the one that I would use in my typical situation.

Yep, okay. I am using this panel in a control room. Fans aren’t awful but could be better. Maybe new quieter fans at some point. The strip lighting lights up the already lit-up touch screen nicely but the faders are pretty hard to see clearly in the dark. Just another small problem on an otherwise awesome panel.

Quiet fans and a couple of 12VDC BNCs would have been pretty easy to engineer into the board at birth. 🙁 Oh well.
