    Hi Peter,

there are only workarounds available like posted above because SQ doesn’t provide a linking/ganging function at the moment like QU, GLD, iLive, dLive does.
I mentioned this lack of function several times in the suggestion area of this forum and hope that A&H will consider this feature in one of the next firmwares.

At the end……switch two mono channels to one stereo channel is not the same than to “link” two mono channels where you can choose the parameters that needs to be linked and which not.
Have a look into the QU User Guide (Linking channels)……that’s exactly what “we” need 🙂

    Best regards,
    Sascha

It’s possible but only when you resample the QU tracks to 96 kHz.
Have done this with several multitrack recordings from my QU.

Once they are resampled you can use them playing back into the SQ via e.g. TracksLive or wahtever.

I had this phenomenon as well with renaming Aux names.
Renaming the AUX wasn’t updated. After saving the show and recall the show it was fine. However not during the normal operation.

    Hi,

it is possible to use 2xAB168 with QU.
Have you pluged in the Cat5 cables in the stageboxes in a correct way?

Qu32 (dSnake socket) -> first AB168 (dsnake socket as input) -> first AB168 (expander socket as output) -> second AB168 (dsnake socket ans input)?
Then you should have on QU32:
    inputchannel 1-16 (first stagebox)
    inputchannel 17-32 (second stagebpox)
    outputs 1-8 (first stagebox)
    outputs 9-16 (second stagebox)

check the I/O page (tab dSnakeIn and dSnakeOut) if all channels matches.

Use the Preamp screen Fn key Source page to choose either the local (rear panel) socket or a remote (dSNAKE) socket for each channel source.

Then it should work properly 🙂

    Best regards,
    Sascha

    Hi Gerard,

SQ provides to handle 48 input chanels and 12 MixOuts (mono or stereo)
Only regarding your number of inputs SQ would be sufficiant.
However what’s about the need of MixOuts. Do you use 6 stereo IEM you would have 6 mono or stereo mixes left, that’s mostly enough.

SQ has everything onboard you need to run a show and the console sounds great.
However improvements in sound might be possible to use the compressor PlugIns but you need to purchase them extra.
Therefore an SQ-5 or SQ-6 is far below 4.000 EUR.

    best regards,
    Sascha

    Hi Keith,

you’re so right….I’m sorry to ask such silly questions.
I should read first what is prompted in the message boxes.

    Many thanks,
    Sascha

    Hi MarkPAman,

by default Input 1-48 is provided on the Chanelfaders 1-48 (devided in the first layers). So with SQ-6 Layer A and B. Futher the Auxes, Grps, FX Sends etx follows on the next Faders/Layers. For for all of those you have a direct access.

For having a quick input patch scenario go to I/O Page by pressing I/O Button -> then press Input in the left side menu -> press Library Button and choose the input source you have available (local, slink …).
-> confirm and the inputs are directly assigned in the I/O page.

Outputs needs to be assigned to the correct target manually (what makes sense).

If you have special expectations like the behavior of the PAFL Bus you need to set this manually for sure.

Having audio with SQ takes only a couple of minutes 🙂
Easy to use like you are used to do with QU.

    Hope this helps

    solve it.

Sending MMC-Record to TracksLive will arm the recording function.
To record you need to send MMC-Play additionally.
    So everything works well.

Unfortunatley I haven’t a response (e.g. by red light on the softkey) that record has started.

    Best regards,
    Sascha

    Hi icecool,

just tried it. Using iPad works fine. No Fader issues.
Try to reconnect, maby that helps.

Unfortunately the Compressor PlugIns aren’t adjustable over the iPad. At least haven’t found out how it works…
