    Nice Keith, thanks for a very quick answer and info, much appreciated!
    I don’t have any Audix mic’s myself but tried them out with my Shures for fun.

    After uploading/installing a couple of them I noticed that the delete button is “greyed” out when a SQ-preset is selected while it is usable when a USB-preset is selected – intentional or possibly an oversight?
    I would prefer to be able to delete both or at least the SQ-stored preset via the SQ-screen – the USB-preset can be deleted from any computer.

    Anyhow – I hope everyone’s had a great x-mas and will have a marvellous new year!

    So – when will we see the ProFactory presets for the SQ-series?
    It´s been a while since the last update on them.

    Or have they been ditched?

    @Grace GCF
    If you´re asking about my SSD-cabinet it´s a USB2.

    @volounteer

    Not necessarily faster than all new USB flash drives, but the USB flash drives I bought last year thinking they would work didn´t work very well despite looking good on paper.
    The Intel 540 I use has write/read speed of 400/560 mbps which isn´t very fast compared to newer SSD:s but still faster than most USB flash drives.
    I had the 540 laying in a drawer anyway so I bought a Deltaco USB to SATA-cabinet for about 20$, put the SSD in it and let the SQ5 format it – no problems so far, I´ve recorded about 15-20 full shows and a bunch of our own rehearsals so far.

    I also use the SQ5 with Cakewalk (by Bandlab), no problems soundwise there either, just keep the computer clean from unnecessary programs, especially the autostarting ilk – which have a tendency to hog resources that could be used better in whatever DAW you use/prefer.

    The problem (for me) so far when using SQ-drive has been the speed of the USB-drives, I bought a HD-cabinet and put an older SSD (Intel 540-series) in it – & the problems disappeared.

    +1
    A “Mackie MCU”-preset would be nice since a lot of todays controllers/DAW:s are based on the MCU.
