Sweden2011/03/18 at 2:44 pm #27749A total scene structure rip-off from DigiCo would be perfect.
And a offline mode would be great.Oscar

Sweden2011/03/18 at 2:42 pm #27748Hi,
Well, the fact that you can’t edit more than 1 scene a time.
If a drummer says to you:
“I want more kick drum in my mix for the hole show”
And 5 other musicians have the same kind of request.
Even if you are a hardcore iLive fan, you find it VERY enoying.
That it’s impossible to do this without steping thru, your maybe somewhat 23 songs/scenes.
AND have to press store for every song.Parashoot
Sweden2011/03/13 at 2:45 pm #27709No,
Have been thinking about that, but as I’ve struggled in using the Waves Multirack,
without a good latency free result. My hopes are not that high on that it will work.
All though it would be really cool if one could use the ,
let’s say IDR-48 as a complete outboard rack for a analog console.Parashoot
Sweden2010/08/24 at 8:53 am #26190It seems that it’s only this specific T80 that has this problem.
Going to re-do the upgrade.Thanks

Sweden2010/08/23 at 8:48 am #26181So you don’t have a 1-3 sec gap when the eq shows the earlier selected ch,
when select a new channel?
This happened on a t80, maybe there is a explanation in something with a older
screen or surface?Oscar

Sweden2010/08/21 at 2:58 pm #26173A scene recall and and save option would be great.
If you have made a setlist song-by-song and you’re out in the crowd or on stage,
and need to go to next scene, this would be very helpful.
Delay on outputs is great, but I can agree that on the input delay this could make room for pan control instead. Thanks

Sweden2010/08/06 at 2:16 pm #26073Thanks Andy,
Will gladly discuss this.
I will drop you a line soon.I’m going out on as a monitor man with the iLive t112 on Fever Ray’s
upcoming European tour. And it ends the 12th in the UK I think.
So I’m trying to to catch you guys at Plaza.
Maybe we can talk some there as well. Thanks,
Oscar

Sweden2010/08/06 at 8:02 am #26067I used the app on a 7000 people outdoor show.
It worked great!I’m only afraid that this simple app is going to be too complex.
So, when using it on a IPhone you have to start zoom in and out.
And hitting the wrong fader or knob.Think it’s better then to make a editor for a note pad or ipad,
if you feel you need to get deeper down in your mix.The iLive Tweak is a great tool for leave your desk and take a stroll
around the venue or festival site to check how your mix or eq is working,
or eq your stage monitors
Without being forced to leg it back to your desk to turn of Fx’s between songs.I love improvements, but not to the cost of ease of use.
Please don’t make it too advanced. Thanks
Oscar

Sweden2010/02/14 at 12:14 pm #25197Christian,
I used CLA3 comp on Bass DI, and API pre-amp with CLA Bluey on Vocs,
all on analog in/out at the surface.
Then I used the RenComp-Renbass-L2 on the L&R using SPDIF.
As for the analog I understand the AD-DA isn’t optimal.
Sounded great at the rehearsals but then I was in a different room, away from the band.
So I didn’t feel the delay/latency…
Maybe I should try to put the master comp in serie, or send L&R out on SPDIF to the Audio card,
then out to the House on analog, or digital
A bit risky though, having a sound card and computer a your “end-of-the-line”
If it went down you would have to re-patch a couple of things.
I know the expression “when in digtal, stay digital…”
But it would be cool, if it could work a little bit evenParashoot
Sweden2010/02/14 at 11:56 am #25196Tuejo,
The Waves support says that “there is no latency in Multirack” and put the blame on Apogee.
Apogee says that it must have to do with the settings in the Multirack. If you watch the video posted on Waves page with Phish FOH Gary Brown @ https://www.waveslive.com/
He is working with a lap top it looks like, explaining his use of the Multirack. using RME MadiFace.
Is it because his in a 15000 cap arena where it must be impossible to tell a short delay in the master,
when hitting a snare drum, so he doesn’t care.
Or is working better because he is in digital all the way SD7-MADI-SD7
I used SPDIF in and out on the T112 surface into a Apogee Ensemble, so still digital all the way.
Then a Plug-in version of the MAXX BCL working the L&R.
On a 1200 cap venue with FOH approx 20-25m out, it was not possible to close your eyes/ears to the fact
that there was a delay on the drums.
The difference from drums acoustic from stage then in the House was to big.
Regarding additive comps on the ilive I will check the forum more.Parashoot
Sweden2009/11/25 at 12:49 pm #24914Yes,
I miss the global paste and easy select function on the iLive.
Sadly, If I recall safe the channel of choice, I block the changes in all other mixes.
Would like to be able to choose both which channel and specified mix to recall.
Bands and Artists are now very used to IEM with with different settings on each song.
The Zappa setting is a good way to work.
Still, If you want to be able to adjust mix processing you need to do it by each song.So what I’ve done is to take out the graph, parametric and internal FX
out of all songs in the show.
The problem was that when I demoed the desk after rehearsals (not mavbe the best thing to do 1 day prior to premier…;-)we went up to some un-stored songs around #100,
and did some test songs. I lost the lead FX setting and parametric on the lead IEM.
Which I missed to store in Library…
So I had to spend a little time fixing that, and had a hard time sleeping that night.I was not feeling so happy about the upcoming premier, felt a bit nervous.
And that I might have bought a desk that couldn’t fulfill the needs for this show.BUT…
On premier day I made a setting that works great for me, the artist and band.
Maybe this is something that is old news for “old digi sea dogs”.
But it really made my day a whole lotta easier.
You make a start scene with all the stuff you use for the show, and Store All.
Then in your show songs below, you go to edit and remove (in my case)
mix processing-Graphs and Parametrics on all your mixes. And remove Internal FX’s
Then you can eq wedges, and line check and sound check.
Set everything for your show and press Store All.
And you are good to go.
Just make sure you don’t press Store All in your “show”songs. My second vision was that I found the pre eq for the FX’s.
Man, did that reverb ess drive me nuts, in what is some impressive
sounding factory Reverbs. All in all it is a low cost desk, but when sounds so good,
it’s hard not to compare it to some of the more expensive desks…
Still, it’s the best sounding and most powerful under €50000.
At least thats what i think. -
