Mulitiband compressor is NOT a generic compressor, they achieve very different sounds! Have you ever really used them?

I hate generic compression on master outs, I use them only configured as LIMITER, but I do my best to never use them.

As I wrote, I use DEQ2496 connected digitally via AES / EBU, so no analogic/digital conversion in DEQ2496.
DEQ2496 is a pretty good machine for it’s price.

From my first post until now, I have used this configuration about 5/6 times. Several times I tried to press “bypass” button, to compare the sounds, but, I always ended up using it in the live.

I remain on the opinion that a multiband compressor is just an absolutely necessary feature on this mixer.

Yes, but the GLD80 costs more than € 5,000. I know these are all features found in high-end mixer of any brand.
The problem is that these now are features that are also present in the other low-end digital mixers .

Yes, the absence of at least one of Groups / Maxtrix / DCA is a serious mistake.
For now I’m pulling out of signal from a stereo mix and coming back in the line-in, but I would much rather be a software feature, as other digital mixers do.

I agree with this request. I often need to have the same microphone used by the soloist to sing, or play an instrument, or to lead the show (with different EQ, compression and effects), or a choir microphone that temporarily becomes a soloist mic. “Hardware” splitting the mic line is tricky when using phantom power.
Processing same input on multiple strip the will be really appreciated.

I think that the USB streaming to Windows is an absolutely necessary feature.
Nowadays there is lots of users who uses windows on regularly basis for production environment. We’re not living at the time of windows95!

In addition, we must consider that it is possible to achieve a good standard on a limited buget from Windows computer. For nearly the same machine MAC (“same” in term of performance in audio recording) the budget needed is much higher.
A mixer in this price range is to be expected that is used by most Windows users rather than Mac!

I miss this! would be a very useful function!
I am very surprised that it was not implemented natively.
I bought the QU-16 two weeks ago, so far it is the only serious flaw I found.
