    Kind of ‘undo scene change’

    Try these guys

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/designacable-Line-6-2m-Variax-Cat-5-Ethercon-Lead-/201148801970?pt=UK_Musical_Cables_Leads_Connectors&hash=item2ed56723b2

I’ve had a couple of ethercon leads from them, not too expensive and great quality.

Standard cat5 cables are loads cheaper, do the job, but not as flexible or robust as these

I had a similar noise once when recording to my laptop. This was not with the QU, I was using and a to d converter.

It turned out to be ground loop induced.

If you’re using a laptop, have you tried recording with the power supply unplugged?

Well done guys, I haven’t been on for weeks as it was so slow

    sorted it.

I reformatted the usb stick on the qu16, copied the file on and the update worked.

A&H say it’s only necessary to format the stick on QU the first time it’s used, but apparently that’s not always the case!

Correct, USB port on the back of the QU16 straight into my MacBook, I have recorded a total of about 4 hours of 16 tracks

I’ve used the qu16 with presonus studio one on a mac to record – no problems so far.
So for me USB streaming has been perfect.

    Hi Tom,

You also mention Presonus Studiolive as an option.

You’ll find a few of us on here have moved from presonus to QU.

The studiolive is a great desk, but I suggest you trawl the presonus user forums for reliability issues.
In the end I couldn’t trust mine in a live situation.

I love my QU16, great sound and not too difficult to learn to use it.

    Cheers
    Martin

I use a MacBook Pro with mavericks.
Did a recording session a couple of weeks ago with no issue.

I use presonus studio one on the mac, and bounce down within the daw

Recorded 4 songs with abou 14 tracks on each. Qu16 running V1.3 was faultless.

Haven’t tried again – step by step for dummies would really help 🙂
