To hard reset the Qu mixer – Press and hold the
touch screen Reset and Setup keys together and then
power up the mixer. Keep the keys pressed for at least
5 seconds while the mixer boots. Release the keys.
I’m not sure I understand. In what way does the Headamp 6 Pro use this inverted signal, and is it not something that can be achieved by an appropriately wired cable?
Hi
I don’t have the QU with me right now, nor do I use GarageBand, so this is really just a guess to get which I hope will get you going in the right direction.
Plug in the desk to you computer then open up “Audio MIDI Setup” (this may be in “applications – utilities”
You should see the desk on the left.
Then look for “Audio MIDI” in garageband’s preferences and select “multi output device” as the he output.
Exactly how you proceed from here, I can’t be sure, but you should be on your way!
Good luck 🙂
On some digital mixers, the pan control of the stereo channels runs as if it’s the left one, and the right does the opposite. So all the way left gives normal stereo, centre is 2 x mono, and all the way right is reversed stereo.
I thought the QU did this too, but it looks like I’m wrong. So what does the pan do?
I will agree!
To be honest you in-ears with ear defenders over them may be difficult to better.
How about getting some wireless IEMs and setting up the mix while sitting in a quieter location with an iPad?
I think 0 may be asking the impossible, the laws of physics being what they are! But faster than 100 would get my vote.
2 Track or Multi track?
What is the “Setup / Output Patch / USB Audio” source set to?
What is the “global source” setting?
Yep, that works. There is another way to do this too which may be better for some people.
The soft keys can be stored in each scene, so one of them can alway be “Recall Scene” set to the number you want next.
Yes to the first bit about the AR2412.
I don’t know about the AB168
That’s better!
Thank you A&H
🙂
Yep, I noticed that during last night’s gig, but wasn’t able to try it out. But it looks to be the answer to this one.
Press the soft key on “Standby” and confirm on “Go”?
I have to admit, I don’t do much theatre these days have never attempted to use scenes that way. Changing a scene on one button press seems a little dangerous to me. I suppose we need it to be a setup option really to keep us both happy.
That size is maximum per file, and you’ll be recording 18 files, each of which can theoretically be about 8 hour. I’ve done 60 – 90 minutes many times with no problems.
So, as FX2 is not going to the main mix, I guess the fader is down. Are the mix group sends set to pre-fade?
Good call. I’d use that a lot.
