Unless I’m missing something, then a very simple thing is being made over complicated here.

    With the set up:
    “FX Send 1/FX Return 1 – Doubler (Solely vocals on Ch 1 & 2)
FX Send 2/FX Return 2 – Reverb (For everything except acoustic guitar that I want to put reverb on)
(Using as FX Send 3) Mix 9-10/FX Return 3 – Gated Verb
(Using as FX Send 4) Mix 7-8/FX Return 4 – Reverb for acoustic guitar

    3 lots of monitor mixes
    Mix 1
    Mix 2
    Mix 3”

it is simple to send any amount of each effects return to each of mixes 1, 2 or 3, (as well as to L+R). The effects returns are just another 4 (stereo) input channels really – but limited as to what you can put

      into

    them.

What you can’t do of course, is have (say) the Doubler for only vocal channel one in mix one and only vocal channel two in mix two, as the two are already mixed together within the effects unit.

Inserting an effect on one channel (so the acoustic guitar reverb here) can be useful, but once the relative amount of wet & dry is set that’s it – you can’t have more reverb in the mons than in FOH, which you could if you used an effect return channel.

For what it’s worth, (not a lot) I’ve known the phrase “Use in anger” for a long time, and sometimes use it myself for this exact meaning.

    It’s a pinch action.

I usually put one finger on the dot that represents the band I want to change, and the slide another towards or away from it.

Adobe Audition allows you to “Import” “Raw Data” – (then sometimes you need to fiddle to set the correct sample rate & bit depth) and re-save. I have used this to fix similar problems in the past – though obviously if you can’t find the files that’s not going to help.

I assume this is possible on the free trial version.

If you do find wireless comms, make sure that they sound OK. Some I’ve come across have pretty low bandwidth and sound a bit like an old telephone system.

Have a look at page 60 of the manual. Have you downloaded & installed the drivers?

I’ve now gone for a wheeled rack with about 18U underneath.
It contains, CD player, 4 radio receivers & a drawer for the microphones, patch panel and small mains distro and a drawer I can lock the iPad in.

I’d sell the case at 1/2 that new price I guess + the postage unless you are close enough to meet up (Near Chichester). I have removed the “hinge” type catch from the lid, as one of the places I used to use it was under a little balcony and too low to get this lid off. No the lid can slide off, rather than needing to be flipped up and over. So, theoretically, it’s not quite as strong I guess, but it still worked for me with 4 catches still in place.

    Slightly smaller:

In fact, I’ve got one that’s not in use at the moment, I could probably be persuaded to sell it…….

You can copy just one processing block such as
PEQ using its In key and then paste it into other
channels using their strip Sel keys.

Things that go ‘bump’ in the night
Should not really give one a fright.
It’s the hole in each ear
    That lets in the fear,
That, and the absence of light!

Understandable. “Hard” can be a dangerous word to search for sometimes…………….. 😉
