Not sure of your experience with setting up a router, but a good starting point is P.83 of the current QU Mixer Reference Guide V1.8 – ‘Setting up the QU wireless network’.

As Bob says, the TM06 router will need to be set up in AP mode (Access Point mode) – refer to the router manual for those settings. For reference and docs see:

    Good luck!

All part numbers for the Chrome upgrade kits are given in the V1.8 QU Series Reference Guide, page 7:

    004-743JIT KIT QU-24 CHROME CONVERSION
    004-744JIT KIT QU-32 CHROME CONVERSION

Thanks for all the very useful advice – this is a great forum for getting straight to the heart of the matter!

    Couple of questions:

    1. ‘Blowing peoples heads off’ is always a concern as we don’t normally have a full time sound engineer to monitor what is going on FOH – the audience can be very subjective – for some it can be too loud and some not loud enough. Does anyone use a sound level meter to check max volume or is it just done by experience? If so, any suggestions on the best type to try/buy?

    2. Oracle/Steve – I’ve seen a DBX Driverack in action and was tempted but it seemed a bit of overkill for an active speaker set-up. I can see the advantage of just having one dial to control overall speaker volume but can’t you do that with the L/R main fader on the board, or am I missing something? Do you use any of the auto wizard settings for eq’ing the room, feedback, etc.? Any other comments on speaker processors from anyone?

    Thanks again.

Another +1 vote for that one. I’m sure most will agree that getting to monitor mixes quickly can be key to a successful gig.

Try copying the file to the next directory up. You should see the folder AHQU and the firmware update file.

Thanks Mark – if I’ve got it right, the front of the Qu-Pac protrudes by 5cm past its 19″ rack brackets, so the case lid should be at least 5cm depth.

Still interested in any user comments/issues on Qu-Pac cooling inside the rack flight case? I took some extra care with air flow on my Qu-24 flight case.

Looks like A&H have used a shallow 4U ‘Cobra’ case in its promo photos?

For tutoring, Howard Williams at Base Sound in Stroud may be able to help and he has QU gear as well.
