Guess you are on a AR2412.
In the editor, surface page, select the channel, in your case channel 2.
On the channel processing page, select the preamp tab.
Under select source select input socket.
Set the mousepointer on the socketnumber.
When holding the left mousebutton down, move the mouse until dSnake 10 is shown
Press Apply.

If 40 will be ok, then you may take a Dsnake from FOH and save a lot of money by changing the CDM48 to AR2412 + AB168, (CDM48 is a Dlive product). Slink card from FOH mixer to the broadcast mixer.
More then 40 inputs, it will be a little more tricky to get the ME signals back to stage.
Which format of the broadcast output signal? You may take an extra card in the Broadcast mixer and use as return for the ME.With the CDM48 why not look at the C2500 for FOH. one Slink card in the CDM48 to the SQ7 for broadcast.
As you see, lot of possibilities, difficult to make a god answer.
2017/12/28 at 2:46 pm #67180Anyone, confirm that the CDM will be able to handle Moore then 2 surfaces. With only one card slot, only one extra card with gigaACE will be available for an extra surface.

Below is an example, Little bit more initial adjustment but we have found work to everyones satisfaction. Nearly install and forget.
In our installation we have a matrix to the induction loop.
This matrix is feed from the main LCR signal and an AUX (post fader) with only the vocal and speech mics.
The Aux is feed to the Matrix a little hotter then the LCR signal.
As an extra. We use a third Aux as well, normally used for recording, to catch the ambient, set quite low in the matrix. (the loop will newer be quiet)
With compression on the matrix the speech and vocal will stand out but everything will be there in the induction loop, to the users satisfaction.
We have a low pass filter set quite high for the loop in order to reduce the power sent out.The more you learn the more possabilities you will find, but dont forget. Dont do it more complex then you ore other users can handle. It may end up in a total mess.

Then you can set a compressor and filters, users of hearing aid normally request less dynamic and more 2 to 4 kHz to get the vocals.It will at the same time be easy to Mute, if not needed or problem with electric guitars etc. occurs.

A software update with
– Ducker.
– DCA Spill.
would be nice.Then comes hardware update wishes for the next purchase, can we see a gen2 facelift maybe?
– 2 dSnake ports.
– More inputs on the back of surface.
– Compressor and gate indication diods on the surface.
– More busses then 30/20 maybe 40/30.
– More inputs 56 mon and 8 stereo would be a nice and take a step up from the QUI think that the GLD is a nice tool and fits well into the product line. With some improvement like mentioned above it must have many ear still be the dlive little brother.

Use only LR and then 2 or more mono matixes.
One for the main cluster and one for the SUBS (DSP in the amps but note, crossover point will change by level)
More matrixs for delayed fill speakers or separete control of different sections.Hide the matrix way down on the last layer for the more inexperanced user to use only LR as the master.
2015/01/05 at 7:34 am #44317Noticed this 6 month ago and then informed my distributor.
This when LR was sent to two different steriomatrixes. They came out with 4 db difference.
No compressor engaged.
Confirmed twice that the LR was set to unity on both matrix sends.
Took the show file to another GLD to confirm not to be hardware issue.Has not heard anything since then.
2014/09/14 at 3:36 pm #41621The level in a Matrix follows all changes of the LR master fader, no need for the matrix to be adjusted. You can set it and forget it, hide in a layer seldom used.
M or Aux require that all channels are routed to them as well as LR. Increased flexebility but one more thing to remember as well as an additional fader on the surface may be needed.Dont forget to adjust the delay for the distance.
