    I have been using the recommended Dlink with great success. Its not necessary to have the multicast now but I never changed the settings. The 5ghz band only setting seems to work better for me. I am running 7 iPads plus editor. Most of the iPads are only 30ft or less from the router but they work great as much as 80′

    I believe what you are referring to is the mix assign button. It shows up on the LCD channel strip indicating you have assigned it to that buss/dca/aux. (this is the ON indicator with a square around it) If you hit the mix button on the main mix then hold the assign button then mix button on the channel it will toggle it on/off. This is done on all of the busses.

    If your console is setup with the direct out above the pan you can use the rotary shift knob to temporarily control the direct out level. Not sure where the setting is in the console. I use this for dante all the time.
