Thanks Scott, I know, but unfortunately the coupon/code I have (not sure if I can share it here) isn’t valid anymore. Yes, you’re right, I should have done it when it became available and installed it later. My bad…

Due to the problems that arose some days after the release of version 1.5 I hadn’t upgraded my SQ6 nor ‘bought’ the free version of Hypabass. With the release of 1.5.1. I feel comfortable to download and install both now. Sorry to see I have to pay for Hypabass now.
@KeithJ A&H: Will there be another period during we can download it for free again, let’s say to celebrate version 1.5.1? ;-). I would highly appreciate it!

I would welcome this unmute option, working the way that The DRis suggests.

Not for me please. I’ve often dealt with situations where artists like their voice on one channel only and have the music (band or tape) on the other. So I would like to pan independent from the main mix. And I don’t always have enough channels available to ‘double patch’ an input and use one channel for FOH and one for monitors.

    Hi Wolfgang,

Yes, that’s right. You should connect them the other way round, so AB168 -> AR2412 -> SQ.

No that is not possible as on the iPad there is only audio control but no actual audio. So if you want to listen wireless you have to use (wireless) IEMs.

    Hi Dave,

The audio signal is not sent to the iPad, you can only control audio with it. So you need a monitor or IEM to hear audio, connected to your SQ or stage box.

    Best regards,

    Jeroen

Has any of you worked with both an iPad and a Windows tablet on the SQ (not simultaneously)? I’m about to buy another tablet. Normally I would have bought a new iPad, but from a price perspective the Microsoft Surface seems attractive as well.

Do both tablets and apps offer the same user experience in your view?

    Hi Peter,

I agree with you. My fear however is that the HSA is still in the reading of writing position and may thus damage the platters inside the HDD when transported. I want to make sure that is not the case.

@alex A&H or @keith: what is your view?

    Hi Wouter,

Why not use two stereo matrices and patch per matrix only one channel (either left or right) as output to your amplifier or active speakers? This gives you the flexibility to EQ/process the two channels independently.

    Best regards/groeten,

    Jeroen

    Hi Nate,

Assuming you have the same software version on both consoles: yes. However, keep in mind that the SQ5 is a smaller console, which means that for instance faders 17-24 can not be used / do not exist on the SQ5. The SQ6 has also more user definable soft keys. Keep this in mind when setting up the consoles, including your personal layers.

No, this is a (safety) setting on your iPhone/iPad which can not be overruled by an app.

Really guys, would that be a dealbreaker for you? In the SQ case I have a stereo TRS-3.5 cable and in the case of the dLive I use is a stereo XLR-3.5 cable.

    Hi Andy,

Yes you can, as all fader strips on the SQ are freely assignable. Press the ‘Setup’ screen key, touch the ‘Surface’ tab then touch the ‘Strip Assign’ tab. There you can drag ‘n’ drop all faders in your preferred order. This works on all layers.

    Best regards,

    Jeroen
