    Solved.

The most easy way to do this is to double patch that input to a second channel, let’s say channel 6. Make sure that channel 6 is not routed to the main mix.
If you set channel 6 post fader in your aux mix you can adjust the volume by moving up the fader in the main mix.
Other solution (which might be easier) is to have channel 6 pre fader in your aux mix and simply turn channel 6 on and off. Make sure that channel 6 is not sent to the main mix.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

I noticed in the video you send PAFL signal to all of your outputs. What happens if you send the main outputs or an aux to the outputs? I think there is something wrong in the PAFL signal path (eq or something else).

    Hope this helps.

Did you use a CAT5E cable or higher? I believe the GLD series can use CAT5, for SQ 5E or better is to be used.

Odd question, but do you have a second console that you can connect to the auxes and main outs of the SQ? This could help to determine where the buzz comes from. Connect the outputs to the inputs of the second console and check whether you here the buzz as well on the second console (via your headphones, don’t use your monitors). I really doubt whether the buzz is caused by the SQ.

    Bonne chance.

Do you hear this buzz also on your headphones? And what happens if you use the main speakers (I expect they are ok) on the aux outs?

If would be helpful if you could share some more information on the set up and what you have tried so far to solve it.

Took a look at “that other company” and the way one can connect the two mixers and indeed it looks good. Would be great if A&H could come up with a M32C-like SQ mixer. But there is already a separate topic on that on this forum.

Regarding warranty: I bought mine here in the Netherlands/Europe with a warranty of three years. It really depends on your laws in your country and what your supplier offers on top of that.

@mfk0815 if you need additional aux mixes you can do the same trick with SQ if you want: connect a second SQ via tie-lines and create additional aux mixes on that second console.

For the first time I have to disagree with you Steffen. The POP buttons on the Midas consoles provide the opportunity to get instant access to a selection of (personally selected) faders, including outputs. Just the faders, no processing, a bit like you can do via the layers. Having the availability to include outputs as well made it a great tool for me to work with back in the PRO days. It would be great if I could create a few POP groups via the soft keys on the SQ as sometimes I need all the layers.

No, you didn’t miss anything. What you want to do, is not possible in this way. The same signal is sent to all the outputs you patched. If you mute the signal, there will be no signal flow to any of your outputs.

There are two options: using the matrices or using auxes (send all the channels post fader to that aux). You can mute all individual auxes.

    Hi Andre,

I noticed that you used both an AR2412 as well as an analog multicore at the same time.
Have you experienced any latency issues?

    Best regards,

    Jeroen

I would have preferred that A&H would have used Powercon connectors instead of IEC sockets. It would have been worth the extra Euros/pounds.
However, I consider the cable retainers the second best solution and I use them on the console and on my stage boxes. Haven’t had any issues from bending the cable so far.

I had the same. I didn’t dare install the 1.5 software given all the issues that arose and forgot to register for the free version. I was hoping (and still hope) that Allen & Heath would (will) provide a new temporary free code to celebrate the launch of the 1.5.1. version of the software.
