    Hi there.

I´d like to daisychain an AB168 and AR2412
Its an fixed Installation. I must first connect the AB168 and linke then to the AR2412. But there is no connection to the AR2412 – is that right?

    Thanx
    Wolfgang

That’s correct. You can only daisy chain 2 x ab168. Other option is first ar2412 en the ab168 in the expansion port of the ar2412.

    Hi Wolfgang,

Yes, that’s right. You should connect them the other way round, so AB168 -> AR2412 -> SQ.

Is there any way to make this work (small expander to big expander)? Trying to make a system work for a musical where we only need 8-16 additional mic inputs at FOH but would love to have the 24 in the band and really dont want to have to do two long cat5 runs as that really adds the the possible points of failure

It’s the same number of runs whichever is first. If the band is in the pit, it’s shorter to hit them first.

Only way would be to run two lines, one from FoH to the AR in the pit then a second from the expander port in the pit back to FoH for the AB.
Alternative is to get the S-link card in the console, then run the AB at FoH on one port and the AR in the pit on the other.
