I would definitely like to see some way of “tweaking” the foldbacks.

Maybe while your in an input channel you could select the “Mix” button and it bring up a list of all the “Aux’s” or while you in an “Aux” channel and you select “Mix” that it bring up all the input channels for you to scroll through and adjust as needed. This way a muso can have their iPhone set up and go to their own “Aux” channel and select the “Mix” button and whatever they move from there will only affect themselves.

I have this fear a muso will think he is adjusting his In-Ears but instead is changing FOH…and of course everyone turns around to look at the sound guy :)

Yeah, we tried note names, note numbers and noticed the Event desk was 1 number out so we tried 1 number either side of the note we wanted…all to no avail.

What bothered me was that when we set up the iLive to output the midi note or number via the softkey we also linked the led to the button but the button wouldn’t even come on so i cant be certain the midi note/number was even being sent.

I haven’t seen the DMXIS, we have a LanBox LCX which accepts midi so i might try that and see how i go

How did you go with using the APX Oscar?
I have been using mine for over 6 months now with our iLive 112 and the added benefit of using the APX is that you can stream iTunes to it from wherever you are and i can also control my iTunes using my iPhone so to turn music up/down or change songs i only need to have my phone on me :)
my MacBook Pro is using the latest OS X (Snow Leopard) and have the latest firmware (V1.53) and have not had any troubles with it at all

    Hi Kris

    I have done this

During some training we had 3 MacBooks and 1 PC laptop all connected to an iLive80 and all went without a problem

I have found out that you have Admin controls through the editor that you dont have at the surface.
For example i have it set up so only the Admin account can change the Mixrack Configuration, but after you log in to the surface with any restricted account that doesn’t have permission to change Mixrack Configurations you are able to apply changes to the Mixrack Configuration using the computer and the editor program.
I haven’t tried other changes that the user is locked out of like show manager but i do know that the editor program gets you into the show manager screen where as if i was using the surface it would come up with a message stating i dont have permission.
This could be interesting if someone tried to recall a show during a performance considering how long it takes to recall a show then you would have to recall the previous show you were actually using in the first place, and no doubt everyone would turn around to look at the sound guy when he is probably sitting in the congregation with his laptop… [}:)]
