The only consoles I’ve seen do the MultiRack/SuperRack remote well are DiGiCo. I missed that feature when I got an Avantis. I’d love to hear of a way to do it though!

I see the need for this and don’t see why it couldn’t be accomplished! However, IIRC, the auto mixer in Midas consoles actually produces a mono output that can then be routed anywhere, so perhaps it’s working similarly in dLive.

It would be beautiful to have a little area that could be configured to have any of the things mentioned above. Hit “options” to configure what you’d need to see in that spot. I would use the heck out of that. Clock, I/O device status, last recalled scene, all that stuff.

Update: after connecting the Avantis directly to the DX168, the Avantis saw it and performed an update. Apparently the DX168 didn’t get the update when the other hardware was updated – the cause of that still eludes me. After updating and then connecting it all back in the original chain, everything worked perfectly.

    Thanks Nicola!

Thanks Nicola. Your explanation of the DX patching is, to my knowledge, how it had been working. The console is on the latest firmware, so I’ll confirm whether performing the update coincided with the issue. The LEDs were all flashing once connected. I will try the other things you suggested. Thanks for your help!

+1 agreed. I knew going in about the stereo channels needing to be odd-even, but I wasn’t aware that the inputs could only be sequential. That one has made life harder many times.

+1 to this! This definitely should not be an issue, but it is.

When I find one that consistently works, I’m going to buy several of them.

I agree with 100% of this, especially 5/6/7.

A&H utilizes the same communication that the Wireless Workbench uses. If a system doesn’t work in Wireless Workbench, then it isn’t going to work in the A&H universe.

This is true, but not the other way around. I have mostly UHF-R receivers (which work with WWB just fine) and they don’t show up in the dLive Shure Integration. I have one QLX-D receiver and it does show up in the dLive Shure Integration. The A&H Shure Integration Guide only shows QLX-D, ULX-D, and Axient Digital, so I guess I can’t be too disappointed. Just FYI

+ 1 here as well. This would eliminate a lot of extra screen taps and button presses when managing groups and their assignments!

+1 on this. Would love it for dLive as well!

+1 This would be incredible. I hate how it’s a 5-step process to start recording and 4-step process to stop it.

Brian, I realized the same thing right after I posted. I tried to edit the post, but I guess it didn’t save. Sorry!

Brian, you can definitely use a softkey to recall a specific scene. I have some set up and use them all the time. When you’re assigning a softkey, select Scene Controls, select Specific Scene Recall, then just choose which scene you’d like to recall.

But to the OP’s point, the potential uses for Fader Start and Fader On/Off elude me.
