I installed 1.3.1 this morning and I am happy to report one successful gig with reliable network Ipad control without any freezing issues. Thanks A&H team! This is such a relief! I’m more hopefully to see continued successes now moving forward. Ironic for you to release the firmware update on a Friday, but I’m content and grateful despite the timing. In my case, it came just in the nick of time.
I ordered mine back on July 10 from a local distributor (FPLogistics in Anaheim, CA) and had it delivered the very next day via UPS. It’s a small piece of metal, but well designed, simple to use, and holds my giant IPad Pro with ease.
Ducker mode is explained on page 30.

Cedd,
Although I cannot confirm 100% yet. But I do have the Dante Card installed in a SQ5 and I believe the answer is Yes you can ‘directly patch’ any input on local console or SLink to any Dante output. I believe this is ideal for comms. Although as of yet I haven’t had a need to test it out yet…. until now. I’ll let you know what I find, probably after this weekend.
+1 I just came across this exact scenario where physically the StageL PA is 5 feet closer to the Audience than the Stage R. It would be really nice if we could delay each side separately.
This same scenario exists for when delay towers are exactly the same distance and need their separate delay adjustments.
+1 an offline editor would be awesome!
Looloosha,
I’m not speaking for A&H, but I think I can answer your question.
I own the SQ5, and I puchased the optional “SQ-BRACKET” that holds an IPad, or tablet. On the Sq5 there is only 2 mounting screws, but I looked at the SQ7 images and I noticed that they have 4 mounting locations, allowing for 1x “SQ-BRACKET” in the middle (See Images on SQ7 page) or 2 brackets side by side. I’m 99% confident that is what you noticed for the SQ7.
Judging from my experience the bracket feels solid when attached. It holds my huge IPad Pro easily. It also can be taken off (or reattached) easily without any tools while transporting the mixer between gigs.
As the Saying goes… It’s not real unless there’s a picture.
I’ve waited so long, I can hardly believe its real. lol
Just thought I’d let everyone know that Dante I/O cards have officially landed in the US! I just got mine today and will be conducting tests soon.
Sounds like you need to purchase a SLink card for one of the consoles, right?
+1
Have you tried disconnecting the MixPad?
Unrelated, but the only issues I ever had with mine was when the MixPad was connected.
Here is my Custom SQ5 Workstation. 1of4.
