Hi @dbromley I was able to get mine to work with a 16GB FAT32 drive. I didn’t have anything else on the drive. I’m not sure if that matters or not. I know you mentioned you did the same. I used an old SanDisk drive. I guess someone else with more expertise, or perhaps someone from A&H could provide a more knowledgeable response.
2023/02/12 at 9:59 pm #111467Without testing this myself, one idea is to try naming your additional files and folders the same way the SQ saves files you record directly from the desk.
Another idea is to check the sample rate of your other WAV files. Since the SQ processes audio in either 48kHz or 96kHz, maybe getting a WAV file in one of those sample rates would make a difference.
Just some ideas. I hope this helps!

I did not accurately tell you how we already had things configured. Also, the reason for the question was to try to get audio from the SQ6 & SQ5 both available on a Dante network. We have our SQ5 connected to the 6 already. I was thinking we would have to break that connection and physically move the SQ5, but I think we can keep it where it is now, as long as we can use the Dante card in the SQ5 to route audio to the network.
2023/01/24 at 2:12 am #111075@steine thanks. We do have our SQ5 currently connected to our SQ6 that way with an SLink add-on card in the SQ6. I think we used Direct Outs, but eventually we may change that to Tie Lines.
@keithjah as mentioned above, we already have our SQ5 connected via SLink. We also have a Dante card in the SQ5.
What we are looking at doing now is keep the signal chain the same:
AR2412 –(dSnake)-> SQ6 [FOH] –(SLink)-> SQ5 [IEMs] -> Dante (tie lines in & out)
So I guess with this kind of setup, maybe we can use our SQ5 as our “Dante” I/O and then use tie lines between the SQ6 & SQ5 as needed. The more I talk it out, it seems like this will be a valid approach.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks,

2022/08/22 at 9:38 pm #108643Thanks @Rafael! That helps clarify things for me.
2022/08/19 at 3:41 am #108591Thanks! This is VERY informative. I think we can make that work for sure.
One last question about the SQ implementation of Dante on those cards…
With “Control Network Bridge” turned on:
- Will the LAN port on the SQ board and the Dante card each have their own unique IP addresses from the network’s DHCP server?
- …or when you bridge it, is the the SQ board the only one to get a network IP from DHCP, and then the SQ passes control data to the Dante card to be used with Dante Controller for configuration & control?
Thanks for your help with this. I don’t get a lot of time to play with the board, so I try to get researched up and prepared before I go in. If I need to direct these things to support.allen-heath.com I would be glad to. I thought there might be others searching for this topic since I didn’t see it spelled out in the documentation.
Thanks!
Brad
2021/09/21 at 4:09 pm #103581Thanks for the tip! I did actually try that, too. It didn’t solve it for us in the moment, but rebooting the console SEEMED to fix it Sunday after services.
I just noticed we’re not in the latest firmware. I wonder if that might be related?
2021/09/21 at 4:06 pm #103579Good point about dedicateded IPs. We might try that, but we don’t have a “network admin” and I haven’t gotten access to the network yet to see how it is configured to select the best IPs. Definitely will look into that, though.
We were able to connect to both consoles at one point, and they both continuously showed as available consoles to connect to from the MixPad drop-down menu.
2021/09/17 at 5:16 pm #103512For posterity, I think this might be the article previously linked here:
SQ. Basic Signal Path Diagrams – Input/Group/LR/Aux/Matrix
https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4402940459537-SQ-Basic-Signal-Path-Diagrams-Input-Group-LR-Aux-MatrixI also had a clarifying question:
If using ‘Preamp on Surface’ = OFF, Does the input meter still show signal directly after the Preamp, or does it show the signal after Trim for that console?
2021/09/09 at 12:39 pm #103344It’s less that 6 feet. Maybe 3 or 4.
