What’s the difference between cascade and parallel mode on Dyn4 on SQ? Struggling to find resources on that.

In Cascade mode, the sidechain for each band is fed from the previous band. Each band is affected by the previous band activity.
In Parallel mode, all sidechains are fed from the sidechain input, with no band interaction.
These two modes were a popular feature of the BSS DPR901 on which the Dyn4 design was based.

Huh, so when would cascade be useful? And would that mean that the LF band frequency content would affect the LM side chain?

Also just to make sure I’m understanding, parallel makes each bands side chains just “look” at the frequency content of just the band itself?
