I was down to one XLR input on my SQ-5 until I realised the unit has 4 x 1/4″ inputs, so I’m really happy I can expand my setup.

This has got me thinking, what else can I steal as inputs if I ever run out?

There’s the front 3.5mm, what about the mic talk back input? any other tricks I can pull? thanks

    all inputs are patchabel

16 Mic inputs, 1 Talkback, 6 Line level inputs 4 on TRS and two on mini jack
    you can add an AR84 AB168 DX168 AR2412 or GX4816 without adding a card
if you add a Dante card you can patch 64 channels from the Dante network additional to the DX and the local I/O

have a closer look on this

That should keep me going for a while, thanks. I will experiment using them tonight. I didn’t even know there was 2 x mini jacks on the sq5

There is 1 mini jack, but as it is used as “aux in” it is unbalanced stereo and thus 2 channels 😉
